Living Foods aims to bring the Kauai community healthy food choices, upscale groceries, and a fun, casual café and restaurant environment for Kama’aina & Tourists alike to gather. At Living Foods, Ohana means bringing guests together around high-quality and socially conscious products and ingredients on a daily basis.

Living Foods features a fully-stocked grocery with ready-made to-go items as well as more permanent fixtures for weekly grocery needs. Living Foods café features coffee and fresh baked goods, and is open daily. The all-day restaurant at Living Foods will feature breakfast, lunch, and dinner, highlighting menu items such as Fried Rice, Bibimbap, Aguachile, and Smash Burger and is open from 7am to 10pm.

Whether just enjoying Kauai for a week or more permanently, Living Foods is a community where guests can reliably source quality products to feed themselves and their families. At Living Foods, we are always celebrating the craft of Aloha.

The food was terrific. I had the pan roasted chicken and it was perfectly prepared. It came in a little cast iron skillet with roasted vegetables that were finished in the juices from cooking the chicken. Our kids each had burgers and they were happy. The homemade tots were delicious as well. My wife had a salad and really enjoyed it. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was nice.

The food was delicious and they do a great job there. However they have expanded their seating beyond the Lanai and have placed tables in unfortunate places. We had a tiny table for four which couldn’t hold our drinks and food at the same time, was right near store entrance with many people walking right by, and the parking lot with trucks and cars noise. There were other seating areas with sofas great for coffee or to go snacks but not for trying to eat dinner. Will return but ask for lanai seating.

So much potential but underwhelming and disappointing. The “smash burgers” are not smash burgers at all which typically are thin with crispy edges. These burgers were regular, unseasoned, undercooked burgers. As for the fish and chips and fish sando, the fish was so dry but thankfully the house made aioli is delicious because we had to slather the fish with it because it was so dried out. The Ceasar salad was also pretty flavorless. The French fries are fantastic and our server was also wonderful. Nice setting too. The menu was so alluring -fresh ono!-but sadly was not good. Such a bummer.

Delicious! Living Foods is a great place to enjoy Hawaiian cuisine. The fish sando was yummy with a tropical coleslaw. We added the delicious parm fries. Our group also enjoyed the shrimp po-boy sandwiches. The sound system was erratic with the music being played at dinner different volumes during our dinner. Don’t accept a table in the patio that features seats around a coffee table height. Extremely uncomfortable to eat your meal as you end up either balancing your metal tray dish on your lap or bending over your plate.

Waitress was horrible. Got our order wrong. Shouted at my son when he passed my wine from my 22year old daughter to me. He’s 18 and wouldn’t drink it if you paid him. She shouted at him and went on and on. He literally passed it to me. She ruined the whole night and I was honestly so mad at my husband for tipping 20%. We love this place normally.

Food was great and fresh! Ahi poki was delish! Kale salad with beets! Steak special good minus the side of sauce it came with. Would go back! Portions good size and not expensive.
