Livestock Tavern is a seasonal restaurant and whiskey bar that is located in the Chinatown District of Honolulu.

The menu that is served is full of variety. We pride ourselves with having an extensive whiskey & wine list perfect for any occasion.

We accept reservations and walk-ins.
For large reservations of 6 or more, one tab is required and automatic gratuity is added.
For large reservations of 12 or more, a preset menu is required.

Our sister restaurant, The Tchin Tchin Bar, has a more of a social appeal that is perfect for large party events. We do have municipal parking lots located just a couple of blocks away from the restaurant. One being on 155 Beretania Street, the cheapest one we know, and another one closer is on 106A N. King Street.

Always amazing! Even my picky kids were happy! Tavern burger is always a good pick. French dip sandwich and Beef tongue sandwich were so delicious!

One of the most amazing meals I’ve ever had. The blue crab ravioli is a master piece and prime rib is the symphony. A must go to!

Anniversary dinner: great experience. Ordered crab cakes and bourbon bone marrow with mushrooms for appetizers. Server let us know he would be lighting the bourbon so I could get my camera ready. Both were delicious. Crab cakes were extra crunchy with more crab meat and less fillers than many places. Bone marrow was delicious with the bourbon and had extra umami flavor with the mushrooms. Nice crisp and buttery crostini to round use out. Hubby had the prime rib and he was very pleased with the meat. An inch thick (maybe a tad bit more), cooked just as ordered and very tender. He want a fan of the veggies but that’s more personal taste. My scallops and mushroom risotto was very good. The Arborio rice was cooked to perfection (many places rush the process and sometimes the rice comes out crunchy, but not here). Plenty of tender Bay scallops and mushrooms. Only problem, there was a bit too much butter so the rice was swimming in it. Added flavor but a tad too oily. Was very tasty otherwise, but a tad too salty. Portions were very generous for our entrees and worth the price. Since we were celebrating pikes anniversary they gave each of us a half glass (more like 2/3!) of Prosecco, which we enjoyed. Bar tender helps serve when he’s not mixing drinks so food comes out at a reasonable pace. We arrived at opening on a weeknight, but by six most of the tables were full. A couple of guys sat in the bar area for a drink and their dinner. Came here for lunch before and enjoyed our meal. I think the meat options may not be for standard tastes, but caters more to those who like something a little (just a little) more adventurous. Would come here again.

Food was delicious! Both entrees and main dishes were great. Service was excellent and food came pretty quickly. Definitely recommend!

Great restaurant. It was our first time eating at LivestockTavern. We had a fantastic dinner. The food and service were amazing. We had the pork corn dogs and pumpkin and Brussels for starters. French onion soup, filet minion, bolognese pasta, and beet salad. For dessert we had the bread pudding and lilikoi creme brulee. Highly recommended and we will return.

Top restaurant on my list in the Chinatown area, especially for carnivores. We had the octopus, bone marrow, oxtail mac and cheese, lamb shank, crabcakes, duck breast, and beef minestrone soup. The soup was insanely flavorful, I really need that recipe. Very good depth of flavor and savory. Bone marrow very good, but needed a little salt. Octopus was perfectly cooked, very tender. Duck breast was slightly overcooked but paired so well with the pumpkin puree and potatos and I don't even like pumpkin. The lamb shank was really good as well but my friend got medium and I'm a rare person, so the flavor was there but a bit too done for my personal taste. Good service, very attentive. Alice was our server and she was new but handled my friend's corn allergy promptly and efficiently. Overall, I've taken friends here 3 times now and will continue. The menu is seasonal and just bursting with flavor and ideas.
