LIVA at Chicago Winery is a chef-driven, community-inspired restaurant for locals & visitors alike located in River North. Deriving its name from the Scandinavian word “liv”- meaning “life”- & evoking a sense of the passage of time and the joy of the journey, featuring a modern-American menu from Chef Andrew Graves that focuses on market-driven ingredients sourced close to home. LIVA’s communal setting, creative menus, beverage &
wine selections set the tone as the perfect gathering place, all set against the backdrop of a working winery. In addition to the crave-able savory menu, LIVA is pleased to offer an exciting range of cocktails, sourcing inspiration from around the world & using seasonal ingredients.

New Year's Eve at Chicago Winery

Ring in the New Year at Chicago's only working winery. We're offering a holiday menu crafted by our culinary team, as well as speciality sparkling cocktails and wine produced at our on-site winery here in River North. Our dinner menu will be available à la carte. Dinner reservations are available from 5:30pm-10:30pm. We are happy to welcome groups up to 12. Join us for a New Year's Eve to remember as a raise a glass to 2025!

The shared plates were perfect for a party of 2. The fire place makes for a very calm and cozy atmosphere.

Food not great on happy hour menu. Some of their happy hour menu items were the same price as the menu items. Not very tasty, service was slow and just an overall weird vibe in there. I don’t think we’ll return.

The restaurant was rather bright and didn’t have a super romantic vibe. The staff were nice and engaging, yet food was just OK. We ordered mussel (very salty, one of the mussel did not taste fresh), arugula salad (way too soaked in dressing. The dressing was not well balanced and some part was salty), and ribs (just a few small pieces that were covered in pickles. Overall, decent flavours but nothing amazing). Their riesling was great, and I purchased a bottle. I had to ask them to give me the wine bottle after paying as they have forgotten.

Beautiful place . Welcoming and friendly host . Happy hour food was good . Service and attentiveness was a little slow and the tables near the fireplace are too close together. There is music but no too loud . I would come back again .

The salmon skewers were wonderful. And the sweet potato chips with smoked yogurt was a unique and wonderful appetizer. Yum.

The servers were great, but the food servings were small for the price and the food was just okay.

Great experience, great food. We had trouble with a gift certificate but the manager went above and beyond to ensure he found it in his system and didn’t affect our experience. Loved it. Must go place.

The restaurant and bar were very uncrowded yet service was just so-so. The food and wine and cocktails were great. Hoping to go back another time to give it another try.

Wow! Delicious food, excellent wine (made on premises!), outstanding service, all in a beautiful, comfortable space. Elevated dining and drinking in Chicago's River North. My husband and I have gone twice and we absolutely love Liva at Chicago Winery. A true Chicago treasure.
