First time to the Little Whale and very impressed! The service and food were excellent, friendly staff, pretty atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff. The mussels were next level, as were the tuna tartar and crudo. If you’re in the Newbury area and looking for a delicious seafood meal, this place is a hit!

We sat outside near sidewalk and road so intermittently very noisy (Harleys, sirens,helicopters) but beautiful evening weather. Service excellent Food very well prepared and delicious

Great place, fast and polite service, food was terrific. Well worth trying. It was 80 degree beautiful nite on Newbury Street. Inside vibe was awesome.

So the food quality is excellent - and I’m a real seafood critic. That said, there is no universe where a casual dinner of lobster rolls with fries for 2 should cost over $230. None. Mandatory 20% gratuity on all checks? C’mon. This is a good restaurant but should be more accessible.

Great choice for seafood in Back Bay. Great selection of oysters. Just beer and wine. One of us had swordfish, the other a fish sandwich. Both excellent.

Excellent Excellent Excellent, the quality of this place just like their other place Select Oyster Bar is so consistent , it should be a model for anybody in the restaurant business. Hands down the best seafood restaurant in New England

Great food, but pretty poor value. My beer had some weird residue at the bottom. “Operation fee” of 3% charged and 20% automatic gratuity for only a group of 4. Service was terrible. Impatient waiter and they rushed us out. They dropped the check without us asking and then came back to hurry us to pay.

Fresh seafood beautifully prepared. Ceviche and lobster nicely seasoned. Generous portions. I only go when I sit outside because I cannot tolerate the noise level inside.
