the food here is soooooo good. Only thing that’s odd is that you can’t necessarily tell who the waiters/waitresses are because they are in everyday clothes. Other than that I love this place and would definitely be back the food is so good.

Lovely spot near Union Square with a nice variety of drinks, foods (both small and large), and a lovely streetery space for outdoor eating. We were lucky to grab a reservation and then walk over. We were seated within minutes! Great food and servers too!

Little Ruby’s was very accommodating to my large party and was understanding when we said we would be late. I highly recommend it especially if you are looking for a cute, inexpensive place!

The outdoor seating is lovely and the weather was beautiful. The service was good as well. My chicken avocado salad was good but some of the chunks of avocado were a little hard and big. They weren’t sliced, but huge chunks. The chicken was big chunks as well, and a little over cooked. My daughter had the breaded chicken on top of the spicy vodka sauce and instead of having the chicken cut up and mixed in, there were just 2 cutlets sitting on top which was odd and so once my daughter cut them up and mixed them in, there wasn’t enough sauce and the chicken was dry. Speaking of dry chicken, my husband had the bondi sandwich and the chicken was also a little dry. Our friends had drinks and said that they were very watered down. However the ricotta hotcakes were delish!!!!!

Outside in the pretty and nicely constructed front structure it was quieter than in the pretty noisy restaurant. The food was really good. Especially liked the brussel sprouts and the pesto pasta with shrimp. Pricing was fair. Waiter was very nice. We took a long time to look at our menu to order but when we finally looked, the waiter was nowhere in sight for about 10 minutes which seemed long. The food came out soon though, and piping hot. The hot lava chocolate cake with ice cream was fabulous and probably the best I ever had.

I had been to Little Ruby's in the West Village several times and found the food, service, and prices reasonable enough to make it one of my go-to places. And while LIttle Ruby's in the East Village has the same menu, for some reason, they do not make decaf coffee as they do in the West Village, and so I would not return. It's an essential item for me with breakfast, lunch and a dinner dessert.
