Located in the heart of Cambridge, opposite the Fitzwilliam Museum, this beautiful gastro-pub boasts historical charm and a delicious menu to complement the surroundings. Dating back 500 years, original features including exposed beams and interconnecting dining rooms are still intact and provide a wonderful setting for guests to enjoy.

The menu boasts expertly prepared gastro-pub style food, made using quality-sourced ingredients including steaks from renowned Scottish butcher John Gilmour, alongside a variety of fresh seafood. Plus a fully stocked bar including a carefully curated wine list and a range of seasonal cocktails.

Service was very average and unengaging and the food was OK. So overall a little underwhelming

Wonderful casual restaurant in Cambridge with very nice food and friendly service. We have been there several times and always had a good experience. It's dog friendly too. Highly recommended!

The service was very attentive and professional. Lack of lamb was a downer but other than that the roast was very good. Will be coming back.

The woman who served us seemed to be in a rush in terms of service and hurrying us along. We had the sunday roast (x2 beef and x2 lamb). The meat was over cooked for our taste and was a bit tough but the rest of plate was nice (roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and veg). Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

Sorry the menu was poor, this is a chain, i had not realised it would be so formulaic. 2 choices on main for coeliacs in this day and age there is no excuse. The evening wasn’t spoilt because the service was excellent and the ambiance was nice.
