Located in the heart of Cambridge, opposite the Fitzwilliam Museum, this beautiful gastro-pub boasts historical charm and a delicious menu to complement the surroundings. Dating back 500 years, original features including exposed beams and interconnecting dining rooms are still intact and provide a wonderful setting for guests to enjoy.

The menu boasts expertly prepared gastro-pub style food, made using quality-sourced ingredients including steaks from renowned Scottish butcher John Gilmour, alongside a variety of fresh seafood. Plus a fully stocked bar including a carefully curated wine list and a range of seasonal cocktails.

Great food and drinks, with friendly, efficient service. We felt very welcome when we arrived and the staff were helpful throughout the evening. Well recommended!

Booked lunch and when we arrived we were told to find seat then order food and drinks at bar. Bad start. Menus was poor/small and Sea Bass not available. We ordered fish pie and at £18 was not worth cost. Very small. Not enough staff to cope with demand I’m afraid.

Nice pub with a higher quality choice of food. The menu is not massive, so wasn’t great for large groups with allergens with potentially fussy eaters. It’s also on the pricer side. The wine list was good

I was not able to make it due to being ill. My family went and the restaurant did not cater for Gluten and dairy free products.

We treat allergens and dietary requirements very seriously here, and have a full Allergen Matrix QR code available on every menu explaining what our food contains and what is suitable for different controls. While we do admit the choices are somewhat limited and substitutions are not always possible, we can assure you that we do indeed cater for gluten and dairy free products.
