We were meeting with old friends before heading home to New York the next day. We had a bit of a hiccup choosing the wine but all was easily sorted out. The Negroni was excellent. All of the food, starters and mains were exceptional (maybe the wing/scallop skewers were just OK) and in particular the beef cheek papardelle was outstanding. We are a bit snobby about Italian food, living in Brooklyn, but this restaurant holds its own. Happy to recommend. We will be back.

Great traditional style dishes with a modern twist. Bread...amazing! It would have been helpful with English explanations of the dishes and drinks choices. We googled as the waiter was very busy. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. The downside...upstairs bathroom facilities. No option for poor mobility customers. Everything cooked/plated fresh. Would have loved a signature 'little ears' pasta dish to complement this lovely addition to Newquay.

Wonderful spot in Newquay - we loved it. The food was great and not like anywhere else in town and the staff were very nice and attentive. We were able to take our dog too which is a plus. Would recommend and soon visit again.

Food: AMAZING. Best freshly made food I’ve tasted in years. Credits to the chef!! Service: Nothing to rave about. Staff seem young and inexperienced (maybe on their summer jobs). Unfortunately my table of two was placed under the service counter. I had the drinks tray passed over my head 3 or 4 times which was really frustrating. Also when the service counter was being sprayed clean I was sprayed on my arm with it… just don’t put a table there. Ambiance: Good and Busy! If you end up next to big tables 6+ you won’t be able to hear much as all tables very close together. Isn’t good for a romantic date night but very good for bigger groups! I enjoyed the vibe regardless! Would I go back?: Yes for the food and maybe to get a takeaway!!… but not for a date night, maybe when in a bigger group. I think the chef is onto an absolute winner for food! Honestly 5*. But focus needed to pay for the experience of actual waiting staff! Service and experience is off putting
