Little Bull is sincere, nostalgic comfort food, inspired by the palates of first-generation immigrant kids.

Pocho cuisine is not a gimmick. Like Oscar, it’s a little bull-headed, but with no bullshit. It means more than loaded terms like “New American” or “modern Mexican.” And it’s authentic to Chef’s personal experience.

“American food is undefined. But it’s been designated to certain ideas and people. It’s actually evolving, as much as our landscape is a melting pot. As much as my own identity as a first-generation American and chef.”

Pocho started as a term used by people in Mexico to poke fun at the “American” kids who speak Spanglish. At Little Bull, pocho cuisine showcases the evolution of being a chef in America, inspired by every immigrant and their growing influence on our food.

First time visiting and we very much enjoyed our meal. Servers were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was sooo flavorful! Loved the gambas a la plancha, the cornrows, the tom kha ceviche and the bread pudding! We ate in the covered outdoor dining area—very lush and light.

Every dish was original and delicious! Our server was helpful and charming. A great place to take guests. Make your reservation early - they fill up! It is a little loud, but certainly bearable and well worth it.

It was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. Each dish was full of flavor and crafted beautifully. The drinks were amazing, and the service was impeccable.

Little Bull is one of our favorites in Durham. We arrived to a tweaked summer menu and drink list that did not disappoint. Even the stalwart items had an updated twist. Love the creativity. Beautiful evening on the patio. Our foodie guest from Berkeley, CA gushed about the food all the way home!

It was fantastic - I highly recommend it. We had the DIY Hand Roll, Ay Papa, and Little Carne Asada - everything was delicious!

A restaurant gem in the area. Davon, the server was great. offered up some really good recommendations which we took. Highlights were definitely the duck chilaquiles and the French toast. The coconut milk ceviche was great with lots of complex flavors. Definitely try to get patio seating to enjoy the beautiful weather.

We’ve been here 2x and will definitely be back! The atmosphere is beautiful (we were on the porch), the food was amazing and was the staff. A new favorite for us!

Little Bull was recommended to us after dining at Cortez on several occasions. We went to Little Bull for an intimate date night/birthday dinner. Being pregnant, I wasn't able to enjoy the delicious looking cocktail menu, but my spouse really enjoyed the basil inspired cocktail. A few more mocktail selections would have been appreciated. Little Bull focuses on tapas style plates with limited larger plate options. We ordered the DIY Hand Roll, NC Crudo, Birria Dumplings, Gambas A La Plancha, and the Grilled Octo from the smaller plates. We could have ended the night at this, but wanted to try the Little Asada from the larger plate selection as well. Flavors and presentation on all of the above were delicious. We could have done without the birria dumplings, as those were the only item that lacked the excitement of the other plates. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly and was easily shareable.

Six of us shared several small plates, a larger plate, and a dessert. Everything was flavorful - our favorites were the broccolini & bok choy, tuna entree, and Mexican bread pudding! A very enjoyable pre-DPAC dinner and we all said we'd return.

The food was outstanding but I felt rushed throughout our entire meal. I barely had a chance to glance at the menu before our server came over to our table asking if we were ready to order. This happened several more times. I also didn't get a chance to take a bite before we were asked how it tasted. The patio is "weatherproof" but it was hot and humid. There were "AC's" blowing air and that helped, but it wasn't very cool air and we had to stack glasses and plates on our menus to prevent them from blowing away.
