For over 40 years, our family has served traditional Cantonese food and dim sum to generations of devoted customers. We’re proud to continue that tradition, while at the same time, making it our own.

For centuries, it has been Chinese custom to pair dim sum’s delicious bite-size dumplings, buns and other small snacks with freshly brewed tea for morning and mid-afternoon meals. This pairing led to the expression “yum cha,” which not only means “to drink tea,” but also symbolizes getting together with friends and family.

At Little Bird, we’re starting our own tradition. We believe that “yum cha” means getting together with friends and family for dim sum at any time. Not just paired with aromatic teas, but also amazing local craft beers and wines.

Food was so so. We were definitely expecting much more given the Michelin mentioning.

We were glad to finally try Little Bird. It was just an OK experience. Some of the dishes good, others just average. The service started great but then seemed like we were completely forgotten about. We sat on the patio right beside the door, at least 3 different staff walked right past us several times as we sat there with a table full of empty dishes. We were going to try a dessert but decided against it because it took so long to get staff attention. We might try it again and would encourage others to try as well.

We were disappointed. The dimsum was fine- some things were good and unique (corn dumplings, shrimp and cilantro) but most was just average dimsum or even not good enough to finish (fried wontons, scallops). They left our table dirty for over 20 minutes while we waited for 2 sesame balls, and finally we just said forget it and left. We’ve had much better experiences with dimsum in Richmond.

Seating for an odd number party is very challenging. I would highly suggest asking for an extra table when eating with a group

We had a table of 11 to celebrate one week of being married with some close family friends and family. The service was timely and professional. The food was delicious!! Thank you for accommodating our group so well!

Great little spot near Kitsilano Beach. Friendly staff and amazing and affordable Dim Sum for the Quality/Quantity. Would go back no hesitation. Must go! (Only downside was that they do not serve Stout beer or any type of dark beer which is my go to)
