A visit to this exciting Tex Mex atmosphere isn’t dangerous, but it’s a whole lot spicier than your everyday life. It’s not too hot, mind ya, it’s just full of flavor! Little Angie’s Cantina is the kind of place where the food is so fresh it’s sizzling at your table. Original artifacts from the Southwest create a real wild West setting right here in the Midwest. At Little Angie’s it’s okay to laugh out loud and fill up on our fresh homemade salsa and corn tortilla chips. Signature items include: sizzling hot fajitas on cast iron skillets; fresh made burritos, enchiladas, and chimichangas all served with a varieties of rice and sauces, distinctly Little Angie’s recipes; a wall of tequila and hundreds of combinations of house-specialty margaritas and mojitos. Little Angie’s is the place to enjoy a little more than you ought to. Break the rules, so to speak. Seasonal deck dining overlooking beautiful Lake Superior in Canal Park, Minnesota.

Overpriced and mediocre food. I was disappointed with the quality of food. Plus had to pay for chips and salsa.

Generally I enjoy the outdoor patio on a nice, sunny afternoon; however, I felt the need to provide a review after the lousy food I had yesterday. I ordered the shrimp & asparagus quesadilla and was very disappointed. The tortilla was dry and crunchy; there were very few shrimp, and I didn't even notice any asparagus. Overall, it was tasteless and way overpriced at $18.80. My dining companion ordered two cheese enchiladas ala cart and asked for onions and jalapeños to be added, but when order arrived they weren’t provided. We also had ordered chips and salsa, which usually are provided complimentary at Mexican restaurants, but we paid for this order. We ended up asking for a different basket of chips because we got the bottom of the bag and they were literally all little chips. I say bag because these chips did not taste like freshly made chips as most Mexican restaurants make. I don’t plan to ever come back here even though it’s in a great location. My recommendation is to go someplace else with a patio if you want to dine outdoors.

Our server was very nice. We had issues with hair in salsa, starters missing/not coming out at all and food coming out late. Restaurant handled it well. Luckily we weren’t in a hurry.

We’ve visited Little Angie’s several times and have always had a great experience. Last night we had outdoor seating which was very comfortable. The food was delicious, and our server, Ethan, was great.

All I ordered was some Mexican fried ice cream 45 minutes later still no ice cream. My waitress told me twice it’ll be out any second. I told the hostess I wanted to see a manager right now. Manager never came out after 50 minutes. A different waitress jumped and gave me my ice cream, which was half melted along with the whip cream melted. She at least gave me the dessert for free. Do not eat at this place. The service is terrible the weight staff other than the one girl that gave me my ice cream and refunded my money is terrible. They don’t respond to your needs, when you ask for Manager, they ignore you and they have attitude

Spencer was a great server, he was busy but very intuned to his customers. He should smile more 😃 Food and drinks were awesome. Dessert had hair in it, our waiter quickly brought us a new one. A discount on the dessert would have been appreciated!

Server was great, but the food was not. French fries were stale, rice had seemingly been sitting all day getting over cooked and mushy. We ordered the steak enchiladas and they had little flavor and steak was rubbery.

The tables were very close together and the chairs were not very comfortable. Previously they had better chairs! Great food and server.

If you are hoping for authentic Mexican cuisine, then this isn’t quite it. Angie’s lists itself as Tex-Mex and we felt like that was accurate. The food was plentiful but lacked the flavour we are accustomed to in Mexican cuisine. The fact that they offer hamburgers and fries confused me, but once I realized that they were catering to a diverse crowd, I also understood why they had ground beef tacos and no carnitas. The salsa was on point and the atmosphere fun.
