Server was nice. I ordered wine, and they brought it in dirty glasses. I asked server to replace it and she seemed irritated. Then I got the lobster bisque, and there was a big piece of plastic in it. The server said it was a carrot and I almost believed her but after further inspection, it was definitely a piece of plastic. When they brought the soup back, they didn't bring a spoon and I had to wait another 5-6 min for the server to return. Then they brought the spoon and my main course at the same time so by the time I ate my main course, my food was cold. The ambiance was kinda weird, and the energy of the place was off. For what you are charging for the meal, I would expect much better service. I would not return to this restaurant and definitely not recommend. Stuff happens but there were too many inconsistencies to excuse

As a new restaurant, this place has some kinks to work out. For the most part, the food was solid, with the exception of the very generous but too-chilled fois gras app. But overall, the food quality was good, if slightly under-seasoned. I took issue with the service, however, where the junior staff has not been well trained. When bringing dishes to the table, they should know who gets what dish without standing there and asking. And they should place the plates down themselves instead of handing the plates into the hands of the patrol. And be knowledgeable about the drink and food menu items. Really basic training stuff. The service vibe right now is more like Applebee's, not fine dining. And the wait between visits from the server should not be as long, especially when waiting for extra butter or toast, etc. So training could work that out. Atmosphere is WAY too bright - this is an elegant restaurant, not a local diner, so tone down the overhead lighting much more. This restaurant has promise, it just needs refining.

Abbie , our server, was very friendly and a great server. She made the experience extra special! The interior design of the restaurant is absolutely exquisite. It’s a beautiful space. The lighting needs work as the overhead floodlight are very jarring when combined with the rest of the lighting, which was soft. they definitely need to change out those lightbulbs and make them softer. The noise level in the main dining room was very pleasant, but was disrupted by very loud and poor sound absorption in the dining room right next to us which was by the side of the building with all the windows. The ingredients were very fresh and beautifully plated, and the menu choices were excellent. Unfortunately, the part that needs the most help, especially for the prices of the food, was the seasoning of the food. A lot of the dishes were not cohesive and for the most part there was, not enough flavor and not an appropriate amount of salt placed on the dishes. I am not someone that likes salty food at all, but some of the vegetables on the plates and the dishes themselves just needed a pinch of salt more but it made a huge difference in the flavor of the dish.Great for newly opening- please taste the food before it goes out of the kitchen- flavors were off consistently.

We gave the Lionne Restaurant at the Nittany lion Inn awhile to work out the kinks before we tried it. Got the Caesar salad and it was big enough to split and was very good, next time I will try the lobster bisque because I have heard very good things about it. I had the salmon for my entrée and it was excellent. My husband had the half chicken and he said it was very good. Very disappointed in the dessert selections!Nothing really was that appealing. My daughter had been there last week and said the lemon mousse was not very good so I tried, upon the waitresses suggestion, thePanne Cotta - it was very bland. My husband had the creamery ice cream sampler -certainly they could do better with their desserts!!

This was the absolute worst restaurant experience we have ever had. First off the place is beautiful and while it was a busy weekend we were seated right away at our reservation time. Once seated we waited at least 15 minutes for anyone to come take our drink order or give off water. Once that was finally done we ordered drinks and then proceeded to sit for a full 45 minutes without any drinks being served. We even spoke to a manager twice who did nothing to expedite the drink delivery. It was terrible customer service and we will never go back. The prices are so high and it’s just not worth it. Very unfortunate

Lionne just opened in early September 2024 following the multi year refurbishment of the Nittany Lion Inn. The new facilities are very nicely done and reflect what you would expect in a high end restaurant. The menu was somewhat limited (about 7 entrees plus a special) along with about 7 or 8 appetizer / salad options. We were a party of six and everyone truly enjoyed their meals. As we expected, they are still working out some kinks in terms of service. Our drinks took a bit longer to come out than they should have and the meal came almost too quickly! But it was a lovely evening and I would hope / expect them to iron out operations in the next month or so.
