South End was home to Charlotte’s first railroad line, connecting us to Columbia and Charleston, SC in the mid-1800’s. “Link & Pin” is an old railroad term. A “Link” was installed on one railcar then, as the two railcars were joined, a “Pin” was manually inserted into the other railcar’s link, holding the two railcars together. Since we are in Historic South End and on a light rail stop, we felt the name Link & Pin was a good fit.

The food was just ok. I ordered salmon with an Asian type glaze it was ok but the cauliflower on the side was cold and bland.

Horrible experience. Family went with two teen kids and elderly parent. Ordered fried flounder which was full of bones and could hardly take two bites. Kids burgers were under cooked. Salmon was a tiny piece. Have been to Link and Pin in the Arboretum and had a very different and better experience. To top it all the manager came and asked how can I make this better instead of just offering how he could make it better. Said he would give us a dessert for free. We did not even stay for that. Just wanted to get out of that place. Not going back there. They really need to look at the menu and get a different chef. Table next to us had people laughing and talking so loudly could hardly have a conversation.

It was a lovely dining experience. The food was delicious, drinks were good and service was outstanding. Waiters, greeters and servers were on point.

Our waitress, Princess Tiana, was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious. The drinks were on point and the whole experience was just a vibe!

The only thing better than our meal was the service! The staff went above and beyond to take care of us and the food was AMAZING!! We can’t wait to go back.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, but the food was inconsistent. The wings were very good, but the steak was undercooked and a bit salty. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor and while Cajun pasta wasn’t bad, it was too spicy.
