Lindy's Landing was established in 1965 and remains a family owned and operated restaurant, banquet venue, bar, and marina. We are located 115 Park st. in downtown Wauconda with a beautiful view of Bangs Lake. Lindy's opens daily at 11:00 am.

All reservations will be limited to ninety minutes.

My partner and I ae "regulars" at Lindy's; however, in the last two months, the menu has changed. At least six new Sushi oriented appetizers have appeared, and three new Sushi main courses This is good for people who like. Susi; however, dishes from the regular menu have been taken away (especially full dinners) and the variety of on-Sushi appetizers is now limited. With these changes, prices. have risen. Especially. noticeable is the price for "Fish and Chips". That. price is. now $26! As a customer, I. would. appreciate more balance in. the. menu offerings.

The food has been consistently disappointing on my last three visits. As regulars who enjoyed it over the summer, this decline is a letdown.

Our server was fantastic for our group of nine with two adults with handicap needs. She made our early New Year’s Eve dinner very special. It was also fantastic to see all the staff working together so attentively. Lindy’s is always a great place!

Lindy's is a regular place for us to go to. Friendly staff, good food, great view. They have a Friday Fish Fry, offering both fried or baked fish. For the holidays, they had some special drinks. I had a cookies & cream white russian (actually had a couple). It was outstanding!

Best hamburger around. Crab cakes were filled with crab meat and seasoned perfectly. Excellent service.

Breakfast with Santa was a wonderful experience. Delicious buffet, excellent service. My only complaint is that juice and coffee were not part of the buffet package. I understand, alcoholic beverages being extra, but basic juice and coffee should be included.

I hate to say it, but after all these years of trying to book this event, we just didn’t enjoy it. Such a let down from the moment we walked in the door… As suggested when booking, we arrived early to see Santa. Online recommended 10min window for Santa. Upon checking in, about 30min early, the manager at the door told me “you’re too early, we said to only come in ten minutes ahead of your reservation.” No hello, no offering to have a cocktail at the bar, no merry Christmas, no nothing… just “you’re too early”. We proceeded to go see Santa, which we were unaware was outside in a heated tent… the line was massive, and from start to finish, that took twenty seven minutes… good thing I was “too early”. Although there was a massive buffet menu, the buffet line was only one sided, and it took a LIFETIME to get through… resulting in every bite of food being ice cold. I’d recommend relocating the buffet, having it portioned by staff, or adding a second line to expedite the time spent in line. Sadly, out of the four of us, the favorite buffet item was the chicken tenders… how disappointing at the price point for a Breakfast with Santa… The dessert table was also…. A bit disappointing for a holiday buffet. Only 1/4 of us even bothered with dessert. The cocktail list was impressive and totally festive. The dining room was also extremely chilly, as the door to go see Santa stood open the entire time we were there… which didn’t help the already cold food from the buffet. We have done brunch with Santa at many locations, some of which being Lamb’s farm and The Grand Geneva, both of which more affordable than Lindy’s, and both of which, certainly more enjoyable. We won’t be back, and we won’t recommend. The decor was beautiful and our server was kind, but didn’t invest too much into our experience. My assumption is that was because gratuity was already included (which I TOTALLY support).
