SO happy to have this restaurant come to the Upper East Side. Rocco has done a fantastic job with his new space and the staff is just as great as ever. So happy to have L'Incontro in the neighborhood!

Having visited the Astoria location previously several times, you will experience the same quality of food, though noticed portions were slightly smaller and far less specials than the prior location (however many of the previous featured specials (ex. wild boar meatballs, egg yolk ravioli, etc. are now on the main menu). Overall, still a great meal and think it’ll draw many new and old customers to the UES. Service was also a bit more rushed but smaller spot than Astoria location so it’s expected, however, I would have asked if we wanted anything else, rather than just putting the check down on the table after dessert. Wishing them much success.

As a long time patron of Rocco’s Astoria location,we were anxious to find out if the high quality of the food would travel intact to the UES. I’m happy to say YES,YES,YES! We have always been a fan of his baked clams and stuffed artichokes.They are still the best we’ve ever had.We shared the rigatoni with veal Ragu.Fantastic. We were also happy to see some of the staff from Astoria. We will return!I also heard in September they’ll open for lunch. Good news for us who love brunch.

I used to go to the Astoria location for many years. While the food at the new location was very good, they didn't offer nearly the same number of specials, which, to me, was very much a part of the experience of the Astoria location.

Rocco and staff have done it again or dare I say done it even better. Walking into the new L’incontro you feel like your home but with a new design. The ambiance is beautiful. The menu has many of the great original classics and some new items that were previously specials. The stuffed artichoke with fontina was the best stuffed artichoke the 4 of us ever had. The raviolo is perfection. The chicken parm is a large portion and comes with pasta, was a hit. The slow cooked roasted pork was so tender you do not need a knife. It came with potatoes and escarole. The cacio e pepe was one of the best we ever had. Their pasta is made fresh. They have an extensive wine list with some reasonably priced options. The place was packed at 6:00 and continued to have a packed house when we left at 8:00. The service from all the staff is beyond accommodating. If you live in the area you now have a new neighborhood treasure. If you don’t live in the area you must go to enjoy one of the best meals you ever had. I’m so thrilled Rocco has made his dream a reality. We can’t wait to return.

BEST Italian restaurant!!! Service was impeccable, food was perfect, ambiance was energetic, prices very reasonable. Owner Rocco stopped by every table to greet his guests - he truly cared about everyone’s experience at his restaurant. Highly recommend this wonderful establishment on the UES!! Will definitely be returning soon.

We loved our meal at L’Incontro and would return. The food was excellent, the service was nice, and the environment is beautiful. Hopefully beverage selections will grow to full bar tho the wine selection was good. Thanks!

Vibrant modern atmosphere with both great food and service. Whether in Astoria or now in Manhattan, Rocco never disappoints. Whether it’s the gnocchi which is as light as a feather with a touch of truffle, or a veal chop in a brown sauce smothered in mushrooms that melts in your mouth, it’s all good!!! L’Incontro by Rocco is NOT your typical red sauce italian restaurant, it a culinary delight with a mixture of flavors and ingredients. P.S. the red sauce it damn good too.
