Overall a nice place. However Italian bread so so and No read plate and bread knife; chicken parm was so so but cost $36. No pasta included only veg/potato. Pasta would cost $19 additional. My wife loved her cod entree and her salad. Eggplant parm appetizer was good but portion small. Service was very good. Noticed they use 2 liter soda bottles (probably Costco or Fairway?) for patrons who order a soda. High end places use bar soda machines usually. Probably will go again since my wife liked her food.

Pastas were the star! We tried a bunch of things and they coursed everything out and split for us - incredible service and leisurely meal. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Food was excellent. Enjoyed the lobster shrimp entree and recommend the calamari fritti. Deserts like the pistacchio creme burlee and ricotta cheese cake were incredibly delicious.

The food was excellent. The service was uneven. The major problem was the noise level. You could not hear what the person opposite you was saying. The couple at the next table said the same thing .i would try them again if they fix the noise problem. Otherwise it’s one and done.

Food was excellent, service was great, the pistachio crème brûlée was outstanding and the gnocchi was like clouds. Little noisy but a good vibe. Need new knives, very awkward to use.

SO happy to have this restaurant come to the Upper East Side. Rocco has done a fantastic job with his new space and the staff is just as great as ever. So happy to have L'Incontro in the neighborhood!

Having visited the Astoria location previously several times, you will experience the same quality of food, though noticed portions were slightly smaller and far less specials than the prior location (however many of the previous featured specials (ex. wild boar meatballs, egg yolk ravioli, etc. are now on the main menu). Overall, still a great meal and think it’ll draw many new and old customers to the UES. Service was also a bit more rushed but smaller spot than Astoria location so it’s expected, however, I would have asked if we wanted anything else, rather than just putting the check down on the table after dessert. Wishing them much success.
