Our server was exceptional and the lamb was perfectly prepared. We will definitely be back for the Parker House rolls and the prime rib slider!

great service and beautiful view. Daily expensive for the tiny $22 salad with two avocado slices

Out on patio it is wonderful, not noisy. We watched the sunset couldn’t have been a more beautiful view.

Service staff was very friendly but had to split her time between 2 large groups. Mushroom omelet fantastic.

The hostess was lovely, but our waiter left a lot to be desired. We initially wanted to order a salad and a sandwich and share. Our point was to ask if we could get two different dressings, and he jumped in and said they won’t split it, but you can do want you want at the table. He then said there would be an extra charge for a second dressing. We were fine with that, but when he came back to take our order, we learned that the sandwich comes with a salad. That would have been helpful to know. He then told me I’d want the fries. I didn’t want the fries. He seemed very annoyed with us. If the menu or he had explained about the salad, we could have avoided this situation. Apparently they switch to a smaller menu at 2:00, and seemed very worried about getting the order in. If that is the case, why did you accept a 1:45 reservation? I went with the grain bowl which was fine, but not very exciting. The view was lovely, the hostess was lovely, but the rest was just fine. I don’t think I’ll return. It’s sad, as years ago I enjoyed many delicious meals at the Claremont. I guess times have changed.

Everything was top - notch. Very pleased we went, and would definitely return on our next visit to Berkeley. The only downside was that I thought the prices were too high.
