The view is absolutely one of the best in Bay Area, of the Bay Area. The service is the best! I suggest getting whichever table that Christoper is serving. Do this and you will very well taken care of. ( Show your appreciation generously as it will be completely appropriate. EST service I have seen in a very long while). The food was great. It was the first time that I was able to eat a couple of items as I never liked it before but here, it was so well prepared that I actually enjoyed it. Being the excessively picky eater that I am, this is not to be taken lightly. There is not a single complaint.

Lovely brunch. Good, pleasant, professional service. Restaurant was quite loud.

Our Server was friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable about the menu to help us with decisions. Food quality great especially the omelette. We were lucky to have great mild weather and a beautiful view. Hadn’t been to the hotel since re-modeling. It’s exquisite! I highly recommend the entire experience!!!

Food was nothing special. And for the price, I’d oy eat here if you’re staying at the hotel. But Oakland has some many much better options, just take an Uber.

What a great time we had celebrating our anniversary at Limewood restaurant! It was a lively Friday evening, lots of energy inside and peacefully serene on the balcony. We dined in both and moved inside due to the rain, and had remarkable service. There was a small issue with one of our entrees, and when we brought it up they immediately fixed it and made us feel welcomed. Great food, Claremont ambience, and outstanding service!

Loud (and possibly drunk) patrons. Limited menu, especially for a vegetarian. Food quality is ok. Not worth the time and money. On the positive side, they validate parking for the first 3 hours.

Staff were very kind and accommodating and made sure we had a table with a view because we were celebrating a birthday. Very appreciative of their efforts!

The food was very disappointed for the value I paid. The steak was very thin and with a lot of fat and no flavor and no color.

The food was good, but ridiculously expensive. Unless you are so rich that you just don’t care what you spend, I wouldn’t recommend the Limewood.

We always go back to Limewood in hopes that the food will be better. We started with the parker house rolls (can't go wrong with these) and oysters, and I had the fried chicken. Popeye's fried chicken is far superior -- the fried chicken at Limewood, while tender and juicy, was also greasy. The breading fell right off and left greasy residue on my plate. The four or five pieces of Brussels sprouts was undercooked. I should have just gotten the smash burger (while delicious, was overpriced at $28). My son did, and upgraded to the truffle fries (they forgot the aioli :-( though). Hubby got the romenesco, good, but also overpriced. My daughter got the butternut squash Alfredo, it was by far the best item we ordered. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was nice and creamy. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday and they forgot about it! She didn't want to make a fuss, so we just left without reminding our server (she's so nice though). There was a Cal game and the haunted mansion tour, so I think the staff was busy. Still, we're disappointed (again). We had gone for dinner before and weren't super happy -- thought we'd try again, but had the same experience.
