Launched in 2012 by the Gonzalez brothers Gabriel and Jose Luis, newly-refurbished LIMA now sees a more contemporary and minimalist take on traditional Peruvian culture. The restaurant’s décor draws inspiration from the rich multiculturalism synonymous with Peru, reflecting the country’s dazzling landscapes. The menu is spearheaded by newly appointed Culinary Director, Roberto Sihuay, a leading Peruvian chef. Expect a menu with innovative takes on the Chifa (Chinese), and Nikkei (Japanese) cuisine, derived from the dishes he grew up with, think Shiso Tempura with Otoro and salsa cevichera.

    Service and food was fantastic. Opted for the tasting menu and it was delicious. Lots of variety or fresh fish and seafood. Special arrangement as birthday dinner. Staff have gone above and beyond. Highly recommend !

    I dined with 3 friends and we all agreed that this is the best food that we have ever had, and we have had a lot of different foods in our time! Absolutely amazing taste, escpecially the bread and butter and the steak. Normal restaurant issues of trying to sell us still water to earn more money rather than with tap water etc., but relatively minor point and does not take away from the main point which is that all 4 of us agreed that it was the best food that we have ever actually tasted!

    Have been to Lima in Rathbone place on many occasions and its always been a fantastic experience . The foods amazing and the staff very welcoming and have great knowledge of the food on menu . The cocktails too are Great the signiture Pico Sours are amazing . Highly reccomend this resturant and will be back again soon .

    The quality of the service deteriorated during the evening as the restaurant got busier, which was not great for us as we were taking the tasing menu with wine flight. What this meant was that the wines were served quite some time before the food arrived, meaning that quite often our glasses were empty by the time the food arrived. On a couple of occasions our glasses were topped up to compensate, but not enough to accompany the dish. On the positive side, however, the food was sublime and the staff were lovely.

    Pre theatre dining from the fixed price lunch menu (available until 5pm) which was excellent value. Great service, delicious food. Highly recommend!
