Lilac is a modern Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef and California native, John Fraser. Lilac exclusively offers a 4-course prix fixe menu featuring signature elements of Chef Fraser's mastery of Mediterranean cuisine explored through the lens of Floridian coastal produce. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, the dining room’s walnut flooring and the warm glow from the pendant globes create an elevated, convivial space focused around an eight-seat Christian Liaigre chef’s counter in sandblasted walnut and a lively open kitchen. Taking its cues from Fraser’s Greek heritage and his admiration of Turkish cuisine, Lilac’s balanced menu is a celebration of the chef’s vegetable-forward philosophy using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

When you're paying over $500 for a meal for 2 you're expecting something really impressive. If I could use one word to sum up the experience it would be "different ". Not bad, but certainly not a $500+ experience. The food was good, not amazing, we didn't leave thinking, now that was the best meal we've had in a long time. I had 2 different cocktails and didn't care for either of them. The apps were nice, main course for both of us was very lackluster, dessert was good. I guess it's all about the experience. Well we tried it but wouldn't go again.

I simply didn't feel it was worth the price. Everything was fine but not exceptional. I will not return or recommend this place to anyone. Although the bar menu looked good I saw the options that were being delivered there.

We were not rushed through our meal. Plates were beautifully prepared. Chef came to our table to wish us a happy anniversary.

Everything exceeded expectations and it was a fabulous unique four course meal, great setting, lovely service. Also they were wonderful accommodating vegetarian needs for one of our party.

We ordered the Cataplana Bouillabaisse for two, but the rouille, broth and toast was served after we finished our meal. The server said it is usually served two minutes after the entree, but it was served 15 minutes later.

Service was perfection. Your needs were anticipated so there was never a moment you were in need for anything. The duck was done perfectly and the Dover sole was delicate, tasty and served with a delicious mashed potato baked in its own dish with an additional added taste. Diver scallops and blue fin tuna appetizers were served with a balance is spices which really we’re stimulating to the palate it has become our go to place for all special occasions.

Definitely a special occasion venue. Expensive? Yes, but this isn’t your every day restaurant. Outstanding service sets Lilac apart from other restaurants. With the limited menu you are guaranteed all the dishes will be special.
