Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

Liberty Kitchen, River Oaks has become one of our favorite 'go-to' restaurants for Sunday Brunch. We particularly love that they are open earlier than the typical 'Brunch time" of say, noonish, so we are able to get in and out before the large crowds arrive. Service is always great, friendly; and courteous. And most importantly, the food is consistently fresh, and well prepared.

Appetizers were amazing & we could have made a meal of just that. We enjoyed the deviled eggs with fried oyster on top, chargrilled oysters. Mussels, and lobster bites. We were barely hungry for our entrees. Drinks were also delicious including the Garden Spritz, Bloody Mary, and Expresso Martinis. Delicious!

The food was delicious (for the most part) , and our server Ryan was superb. We were caught off guard by the cost of the fish special. It was $65, and the special did not merit that kind of price. It was a mistake to order it as that dish was average and not worth the sigificant expense. We love the restaurant and will continue to come back, but it is pricey, so be sure and ask the cost of the special before you order it.

The food was just ok. Almost everything needed a little salt. The outside patio was nice! Our server was amazing and attentive!

Always great food & service here. Maybe you could find some items at a lower price but you would have to sacrifice all the good bits.
