Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

One of our favorite restaurants! Best place for Oysters! The steak was amazing!! Service was perfect! Our cocktails (and mocktails) were delicious!

Fantastic choice for a birthday weekend dinner in Lewes. Food was terrific - raw bar, scallops entree and lobster roll. Desserts were exceptional. Deb was a wonderful server.

Excellent service with Jesse heightened the dining experience and the food is always fabulous!! We shared the roasted oyster app, seared scallops, halibut, and a lovely poached pear goat cheese cheesecake . We enjoyed the signature cocktails - the smokehouse is a routine fav, notorious fig also a yummy option.

We were so warmly welcomed when we arrived. We truly appreciate when Tom stops by our table to chat. Loved the new addition of New England Clam Chowder. All those clams in a delicious soup was outstanding. My scallops were so delicate and delicious. Our server took good care of our young guests and rose to the Shirley Temple challenge! Fun night all around.

My wife and I went for her birthday dinner and had a memorable meal at The Oyster House. I was a restaurant manager for 15 years and can't say enough good things concerning our waitress Chelsea. She made us feel right at home. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring. She pointed us to a specialty entre and dessert. We eat here 3-4 times a year and love everything about the restaurant. We enjoy the coconut shrimp and low tide oyster appetizers. The lobster roll entre and house special pork burger were perfection. Chelsea steered us to the apple cider sherbet and what a treat. Tasted like a home made apple pie. The Oyster House is a must visit.
