Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

Sat next to the kitchen entrance. Poor seating. Oysters were so salty I could hardly eat them. Calamari sounded appetizing but couldn't find the items mentioned. Left most of it behind. Chose to leave rather than try more food.

Great service. Was seated promptly and orders taken. Tried the Honey BBQ Lime wings. Great tasty, great sticky sauce. Also tried the Nola Oysters, these were cooked perfectly. They were not dry. Also like when server commends your choices. It was Burger night, so we had the burger special with the fries. Totally pleased with everything.

Our food, especially the oysters, was delicious!! Our server, Deb, is always right on in suggesting the oysters we would prefer. Tables can be close , but that enables the dinners( if you wish) to chat with each other. LOH has become our go to while we are at our beach house.

LOH is our our favorite local restaurant. The food is consistently outstanding, the atmosphere is upscale while being relaxed mostly due to the excellent and friendly staff. Best of all are — the oysters! Cleanest shuck ever and LOH always offers the widest variety of the very best tasting oysters anywhere in this area!

We had a wonderful experience at the Lewes Oyster House. Four of us were celebrating my birthday. We could not have asked for more. From the complimentary glass of champagne for me, to our dinner and dessert. Everything was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. Thank you Braden for giving us such excellent service!

This place is always great! We had cocktails, appetizers, entrees and shared a dessert. Everything was perfect.
