Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Lewes Oyster House! Chef Sean Corea and team will feature a decadent Four-Course Prix Fixe Menu with optional wine pairing. Gather your friends and ring in 2025 at Lewes Oyster House! *PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING* -There will be a time limit on your reservation. Parties of 1-4 (2.5 hours); Parties of 5-7 (2.75 hours); Parties of 8 (3 hours) -$105 (set price per person for food) includes a first course, second course, third course and dessert -$49 optional wine pairing will be offered -We will not be able to accommodate parties larger than 8 for this evening. - Last seating will be at 9pm.

On Sunday, January 12, join us for an exclusive 5-Course Wine Dinner where Chef Sean Corea, Diego Lascano and a guest Master Sommelier will guide you on a culinary journey celebrating the wines of Australia. Guests will enjoy wines from Giant Steps, Hickenbotham and Yangarra Estate. Join us for an evening of education, indulgence, and inspiration that will tantalize your taste buds and ignite your imagination. Reserve your place today and experience a night you won't soon forget. The evening will begin with a sparkling reception at 6pm at our Oyster Bar, where Chef Sean and Diego will greet guests. Please arrive promptly. This is a collaborative wine dinner, and seating will be shared between guest parties.

Loved the food, service and the vibe. The noise level was more than energetic, it was very noisy! We later found a spot where we could hold a conversation and really enjoyed ourselves. So, great place to have fun, not a quiet dinner.

Food was a a little bit disappointing: the octopus dish was not grilled and lacked flavor. The halibut with roasted cauliflower and mushrooms was very dry too. Wine was excellent and service was good.

We enjoyed the diverse menu, excellent service and comfortable atmosphere. The drinks were delicious and the desserts homemade. We intend to return and ask to sit in the quieter section as the bar area understandably gets loud.

As always the experience was exceptional. Staff is so very professional and like family as well. Kitchen goes above and beyond to create unique and scrumptious dishes.

Got a tortellini appetizer that I thought (based on the $21 price) might be sufficient for a small-ish meal, but there were only 3 little (though pretty, and tasty) tortellini. Truly, it was barely enough for an appetizer must less a small-ish meal! After getting the dish, it struck me that the price was quite outlandiish. But we do love going there for their drinks, especially the Backstreet Manhattan.

We had a great experience . The staff was friendly from seating to serving ! The food was delicious and had a nice presentation . The clam chowder was amazing with the whole clams and generous with the clams in the chowder . The desserts were great as well as the cocktails . We will be back !

My go to place, casual, fancy or to bring friends from out of town - it never disappoints. My hubby gets the catfish sandwich 90% of the time, I went with the mussels and fries, so fresh, so tasty and we shared a fig apple salad. Had the pleasure of being served by Chelsea, she was excellent and a pro!

Amazing meal. The food was excellent. We had the clam chowder, salmon, sea scallops, and the pound cake for desert. Every course was fantastic. The service was top-notch. I would highly recommend the Lewes Oyster House.
