Located in the historic district, Lewes Oyster House honors the rich heritage of ubiquitous and democratic oyster consumption in 18th and 19th century Middle Atlantic taverns and oyster houses. We serve inspired tavern fare, expertly prepared with fresh, regionally-sourced ingredients along with crisp lagers, interesting wines, and artisanal cocktails. All that, and a whole lot of love.

Please join us for lunch Tuesdays through Saturdays in the Tap Room, Oyster Bar or Main Bar. We do not accept reservations for lunch.

Walk-ins for dinner are always welcome first-come first-served at the Oyster and Main bar areas, all evening long beginning at 5 p.m.

Online reservations for dinner are VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for the Walsh Room and Tap Room.

Lewes Oyster House is hands down the best restaurant in Lewes, we have been there many times the customer service is top notch and the food is always excellent and fresh, we could eat there 7 Days a week...lol If you never been you are missing out big time !!!!

Oysters Rockefeller were delish. Rock fish was very good. Busy place but James our server was excellent always checking back with all his customers and just a delight to talk to.

We will never go back. The hostesses were incredibly rude, the food was terrible and we tried several - appetizers, salads, specials and entrees - items. The flavor mixtures were not good, oysters lousy, fish dry, even the bread and butter was odd. If you like Henlopen Oyster House in Rehoboth - you will be very disappointed by Lewes Oyster House. Save your money, taste buds, calories and time - and just go to Henlopen in Rehoboth.

Chelsea was an excellent waitress. She had great recommendations. Our food and wine was excellent and unique. The only disappointment was a young woman at the bar who was extremely loud and swearing. She seemed to know the bartender, who should have asked her to keep it down.

Food was delicious, as always. Our server, Wren was very attentive, friendly, and made great suggestions. We brought friends with us that had never been to Lewes Oyster House before and they loved it. Highly recommend.

Outstanding! Oysters/Chilled Seafood Platters are the absolute best week after week. Love the ongoing menu changes to apps, entrees & Drink/Wine...no chance of getting bored. Insanely Best Ever gourmet French Fries! LOH has a Great Stylish upbeat casual Vibe w/ intoxicating aroma combination food & beverages.Professional Outgoing Staff w/Top Notch Service is a definite contributing factor bringing the perfect "10" mesh of incredible Culinary Talent resulting in #1 --5 star Rating. Our most Fav this visit was Diego our Server & Wine Steward. Love wine most of all..& his recommendations & knowledge & kindness absolutely made us want to return to LOH as much to enjoy not only the best fresh farm to table but accompanied w/great wine pics.. would love to see cheese plates.. & look forward to more to come! Thxs LOH.. Best at the Beach!

It was our first visit to Lewes Oyster House and it did not disappoint! Our meals were excellent and the service was perfect. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and beverages. Loved it!
