I recently dined at legends of fazios, an Italian steakhouse with a reputation for its hearty dishes. While the focus may be on steak, I opted for the Chicken Penne, and it was a delightful surprise. The pasta was perfectly cooked—al dente, as it should be—and the sauce had just the right balance of creaminess with a subtle tang from tomatoes. The chicken was tender and flavorful, well-seasoned, and complemented the richness of the dish. What I particularly appreciated was how fresh the ingredients tasted, from the basil to the parmesan sprinkled on top. While the atmosphere leaned more toward a classic steakhouse vibe, the service was warm and attentive, making for an enjoyable overall experience. Although the steaks looked tempting, the Chicken Penne was a fantastic choice, and I’d definitely order it again!

Had reservations for 6:45. Table wasn't ready when we got there. Waited 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. Server was very nice but service was super slow. He did apologize. We were seated next to a table of 10 young Oshawa General players. All dressed in sweat pants, toques and baseball caps. Of course, young men don't take their hats off at the dinner table anymore. They were quite loud. Really annoying as we were out celebrating an anniversary and did not experience the atmosphere we were hoping for. Food was excellent however, we couldn't wait to get out of there.

Menu is very small and limited. Tables arriving after us were served and billed out before us.Food was below the level expected from an Italian restaurant of its reputation. I did like the the Caesar salad but it was very very heavy in garlic. I can’t tell you if the pasta was home made because it was blah. We won’t be going back.

I used to eat often at the original Fazio's. This was my first experience at Legend of Fazio and I would return. It had a kind of authentic Italian feel; comfortable decor. The server was attentive and efficient and the food was delicious. What struck me (partly because I was treating my kids) was that the menu was surprisingly reasonable cost-wise compared to comparable restaurants. I've noticed that many are ridiculously priced these days.. not this one. I'd return. :)

The Filet was cooked perfectly however the mashed potatoes were WAY overly salted making them inedible. Waitress indicated they were garlic mashed however all you could taste was salt. When the filet is bacon wrapped which is naturally salty, the Demi glacé is on the salty side which again is to be expected, the mashed potato’s need not be salted as heavy handed. Been many times before and ordered the same dish and haven’t experienced this before. The apps we had were delicious as usual.

Came here for my birthday and it was very nice and intimate, great for a date night as well with low lighting, candles and not loud! The calamari was delicious and tasted fresh. The portions were great and the staff were very friendly! Definitely will be back. Thanks for making my bday so special:)

The food was amazing, we had mussels, Caesar and caprese salad to start. Steak for a main, the garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic. Wine was great, not a crazy selection but enough to find a nice bottle. The server was great, ambience was old school but nice. The location in Oshawa is a bit gritty, but regardless the restaurant is worth a visit.
