    Love love loved my experience at Legasea. As soon as me and my party walked through the doors we knew we were in for a treat. The Friday night was what you would imagine a Friday night crowd being in Times Square, but not overwhelming. The cocktails get a 8/10 and the food gets a 5/10. I would stick with their rib eye special and Cesar salad. I would recommend this place for native Mew Yorkers and tourist.

    What an awful experience. The noise level was so high, I couldn’t have any conversation with my companion. We saw our waiter once to take our order and then never again. We were brought our chicken wings that were drowning in sauce, but no additional napkins or cleaning wipes. No one asked us mid-meal how the food was or if we needed anything else (which we did, but just gave up on). I had to take our empty glasses to the bar to get soda and water refills. I finally went up to someone who looked like a manager to ask for our check because we had waited long enough and I was tired of being ignored. What an expensive, poor-service experience.

    We arrived early for our reservation and had a drink at the bar. We were seated on time and placed our full order as soon as our waiter came by, as we had to go to MSG for a concert. We had to ask twice to be given water and our drinks (2 glasses of wine) took over 20 minutes to arrive. We mentioned to the waiter at this point that we had to leave in an hour and we still hadn’t received our appetizers (oysters & fried calamari). He said he would check and 10 minutes later came back and said they’d be right out. It took another 15 minutes at which point we reminded him we had to leave in a half hour and could someone check on our entrees (2 filet mignons). Our waiter said he had requested them to rush our order even though the kitchen was backed up. During all of this, 2 people sat down next to us, they received drinks, appetizers, and their entrees. Our waiter never came back and we ended up leaving so we could make it to our show. On our way out we asked to speak to the manager and pay for what we had received. He was extremely rude, he did not apologize and just told us the kitchen was backed up and not to pay. We insisted on paying anyway despite the terrible service.

    I can not give this place the lowest rating possible on here because the ratings don’t go that low. We had reservations that we had made one month before our arrival. They seated us right away. We waited 45 minutes on a salad. After 1 hour and 15 minutes the waiter came and told me he rang in the wrong entree for me and they hadn’t even started cooking my steak. We had an event to get to so we left. Would not recommend on so many levels.

    Restaurant was ill-prepared for a full dining room. There for nearly two hours and NEVER received food. Staff was understanding but kitchen management needs a full overhaul.

    server had the audacity to ask me if i was going to leave a “cash tip” but they already charged me auto-gratuity for 20% on the reservation :clown-world: 🤡
