Since 1980, we've been a staple in Boston's Park Square. Now relocated and renovated, our new spot at the corner of Arlington Street offers a wrap-around bar, open raw bar, and expansive lounge and dining areas. In warmer months, our patio provides a charming outdoor dining option right across from the Park Plaza Hotel.

Nia, our server, was great; attentive with a big smile. Food was delicious: steamers, bay scallops, sushi bowl, fish and chips, bonbons, and rice pudding. Comfortable seating in a high top booth.

Our server was outstanding. The manager provided oversight for food prepared for the person with dietary restrictions. I had lobster tails which were delicious and well prepared. My friend had the tofu and vegetable rice bowl and really enjoyed it. It took a minute, when we arrived, to get seated at the table we preferred and we were pleased the manager jumped in to help with that.

We were happy with our food overall but it wasn't anything special and the prices were probably 30% higher than they should have been for basic orders...$28 for six shrimp, too many fries, and a tiny serving of slaw; $36ish for belly clams, same on fries and slaw. There must be better options, but we're on foot so limited in distance.

Years ago, Legal used to be a restaurant to visit on special occasions. Service, food, and atmosphere were all top notch. We were disappointed to find out that’s no longer the case. My wife and I took a rare weekday for dinner out, mostly because we knew Legal was good, particularly because of the awesome $1 oyster deal on Tuesdays in October, and also to visit (what we thought was) our favorite Park Plaza location. We arrived to find out that the beautiful two story location had been moved a couple blocks and the whole thing was changed. The cool atmosphere, huge fish tank and elegant decor were replaced by a single story highly lit restaurant that felt more like a Friendly’s with fish. The service, while friendly, was slow and inattentive, partially due to the fact that the poor solo bartender was training a new employee while simultaneously serving half of the restaurant. Nobody helped her and although she was super nice, everything took twice as long as it should. Sure, the food was good and the oysters were $1 as advertised but sadly, Legal has gone from a destination where we would take guests to a dull, casual family restaurant with decent food. We have had the same experience at the Harborside location. So sorry the Berkowitz family sold the chain…

The server was wonderful! She was attentive without being intrusive which made my after work (tiring day) meet-up with a close friend, a relaxing delight.

An old standby Boston seafood restaurant that has been tastefully redone and is in a great and spacious location. The menu has a nice variety of seafood and non seafood dishes and offers lots of selections for preparation and accompaniments. The meal itself was great. Our only issue on the night we were there was that I had requested a table near the window on this app and we were seated in the back right next to the kitchen. Our server was initially prompt and friendly but after dinner was served, we were more or less abandoned, and no one cleared our dishes, no one asked us about dessert, and we waited for a long time before anyone came to check on us. We basically ate dinner and sat at a dirty table for half an hour talking while we waited for someone to come by. I finally just asked for the check and we paid and left. We obviously left disappointed and hoped that this was a glitch rather than a trend.

My friend had scallops, mashed potatoes and a side salad and really enjoyed her meal. I had a lobster tail and a California roll. They have many GF items on their menu and are very accommodating and careful around dietary restrictions. The service was so fantastic. Omar was our server. Thank you, Legal!

Excellent food! Excellent service! Maria was our waitress and she was fantastic. Not only gave us great recommendations on what to order, but was super sweet to our daughter, and even gave us general recommendations for Boston. The ambience was also nice. It was a little loud but not in a bad way. There was good music playing, people laughing and enjoying their time out together, just fun overall. Would definitely go back!

This is my second special= lobster last month and oysters this month. I made a reservation which was readily found when I checked in. When my friend arrived a later, the res could not be found. He had to wander the restaurant to find me. The raw oysters were superb! Wonderful warm rolls. The oysters Rockefeller were cooked to death - almost sent them back the service was not good - I had to ask THREE times for another carafe of Albarino. (delish!) The bartender, our waiter, finally stated he needed to get another bottle from the wine cellar. That should have been rectified during start of his shift inventory. Or he should have asked a manager for assistance as he was busy.

We had a big multi lingual group and our serving staff were so very patient with us. The food was exceptional. Boston lobster is officially by our group opinion better than French lobster!!
