The meal came before we had time to finish our soup and the fisherman’s platter was over fried and too dry. The lobster role was delicious, as was the clam chowder. Overall, it was a good experience, we just expected more.

This rating suffers from the fact that I was last at LSF in the 80's. The place was a quieter and frankly a little fancier than what we experienced last night. I'm not sure it was ever elegant, but, more refined than what we got last night. I could come here just for the chowder; it didn't disappoint. The Haddock was really good, the Bay scallops good, I'm not a real scallops fan. Rita was terrific, attentive and quick on a Friday night. My memory of the LSF at Cambridge Ctr may have impacted my review; I was a much younger man; it seemed really special back then. I remember the soups, the salads; and the bluefish pate. Amazing pate.

We had Legal Seafoods' Friday special Fish & Chips lunch, and it was outstanding. The portions of fish, fries, coleslaw were generous and the value was very good. We try to take advantage of all Legals' special lunches/dinners. They are well worth it.

Overall, if you are traveling and want New England fare - it's decently good. I recommend the crab cakes. They say it's their specialty and it's good. Not a lot of food for the price, but I'm from Nebraska, so that's my reference.

Food was ok, not exceptional. We tried some of their sushi, which was ok but not as good as a sushi restaurant. The fish and chips plate was good but I don’t think I got the spicy version that I requested. Also, we were disappointed to notice later that we didn’t get the special pricing in the email blast: “treat yourself to our classic Fish & Chips for just $15* every Friday in November as a Legal Net Rewards member!” (Even though we were awarded reward points for the visit). Drinks were ok. We didn’t get dessert this time. Overall, not wowed for the price.

Smelled bad. Food was gross. Waitress was very friendly though. Regret wasting $200 here on small flavorless lobster.

Food and service were great! We had the lobster mac & cheese, loved the way they served it in the lobster shell. Caesar salad was very fresh. Only negatives: steamers were very sandy and difficult to enjoy because of that. Had the linguine and clams, linguine was cooked al dente, but a little spicy which took away from the clam flavor. Overall, a great meal and great service.
