Legal has become less consistent, in my opinion, since the Berkovits family sold the restaurant part of the company a couple of years ago (they still have the mail order, the last I knew). We eat 3 or 4 times a year at the King of Prussia, PA mall location. A couple of months ago, everything was excellent. A couple of months before that, one fish dish wasn't fresh and had to be returned. This last time, the chowder was very good as usual (though seemed a bit heavy on potatoes relative to clams, this time around). The Greek salad was plenty large but hardly "Greek" at all, so, very disappointing. Neither entree impressed this time. The grilled tuna lacked flavor and personality, and the grilled scallops were just enough overcooked to make them dry-ish. Neither plate presentation was notably attractive; the presentations looked more diner-like than usual. The "bon bon" dessert was wonderful as always but oddly presented atop a lump of whipped cream. The service, as ALWAYS at the King of Prussia restaurant, was outstanding in every respect. SO: at KOP, who's cooking and plating seems to cause variations in meal quality. My advice: Legal is known as a quality place. If you're not 100% satisfied with any food item, ask to have it re-cooked or replaced by another dish. I would be shocked if they gave you any push-back on that.

Our server was great! He offered great suggestions and was able to help answer questions when it came to my gluten allergy. They had great options and would highly recommend.

Traveled almost an hour to enjoy an entree I first tasted back in March - the salt & vinegar cod; unsure what happened but the entree didn’t look the same, didn’t taste the same, wasn’t even plated the same. Super disappointing birthday dinner for me. My companions enjoyed their meals and our server was fantastic but can only award them 3-stars.

We celebrated our anniversary at Legal Sea Foods last night, following a tradition which we established several years ago and Legal Sea Foods did not disappoint. We were pleased to have our favorite server, Gretchen, who took time away from her bartender duties to provide her as usual exceptional service and we were touched by her thoughtful and generous recognition of our special day. As for our dinner, the Wellfleet and Black Magic oysters were plump and tasty with a slightly briny taste, characteristic of MA and Newfoundland, and the steamed lobsters, which we always order, were perfectly prepared with the lobster meat, especially the tail, sweet and tender and virtually de-shelled on presentation. My wife and I have enjoyed steamed lobsters in many restaurants on the east and west coasts, including many in New England, and Legal Sea Foods, King of Prussia, ranks among the best we have tried for steamed lobsters. We would highly recommend this restaurant to any diners who fancy themselves as connoisseurs of steamed lobsters.

We were there to make up missing Oyster night. We sat at the bar. Laura was beyond fantastic. She was very knowledgeable. The food was great. 3 dozen oysters, Tuna Tataki, Lobster Roll were all a hit. Quite pleasant date nite. Do those $1 oysters more and we will do this every time.

Went there for the oysters special arrived on time and was told that there no more oysters. No call or text and we drove 30+ minutes for them. Stayed for dinner anyway. I ordered the clams with linguine and was told that there were any, tried to order the sample fried seafood again can’t do because they were out of clams. Finally I ordered the scallops and were very small , over grilled tasting burnt, the white rice that I ordered as a side dish was very dry and crispy like it was left out. Overall a terrible experience. They used to be great but not it’s just terrible. McDonald’s would’ve been better.

Friendly greeting when we entered. Autumn was our server. She was professional, kind, knowledgeable and even asked if I was a rewards member. She gave us the time to decide what to have. Everything arrived at just the right time. Food was delicious and presentation was great. It was our 52nd wedding anniversary and the afternoon could not have gone better.
