Legal Sea Foods started as a fish market in Cambridge Massachusetts in 1950, growing to over 26 restaurants today! Legal Sea Foods is an East Coast landmark, a favorite with locals and a must visit for tourists. With our own production facility and an innovative eCommerce platform, over the past 70 years we have established ourselves as a core pillar of the New England seafood scene. Famous for raising the bar in seafood quality and safety, Legal Sea Foods combines New England's coastal fishing traditions with modern culinary flair. First time visiting restaurant in Chicago, but many times in Boston. Loved it. Service was a bit slow, but excellent food, view of the river, etc.

*it was very quiet, i mistakenly put noisy* i had a party of five Saturday afternoon and although some of the party wasn't there we were seated immediately. We had the most wonderful table right outside with complete river views. Our waitress Paris was magnificent!! Her recommendations were spot on, she was very kind and knowledgeable. The lobster rolls with lemon mayo were delicious, huge portions, the clam chowder was tasty as well. My mango lemon drop stole the show! One of the most delicious drinks I've had in awhile. We all loved every moment of our visit. We will def return. Thank you Paris!

RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT FOR SEAFOOD. It's a little overpriced but great for special occasions.

Lunch special was a great value- lobster roll, fries and clam chowder! Loved the crab cake as well. Nice open air environment right along the river.

The food was terrible. This is a seafood place so they should know how to make a good piece of fish. I ordered the tuna (blackened and rare). It was overcooked to the point where it was inedible. I told the waiter and he did nothing (no new tuna, alternative meal or credit). We won't go back and I doubt Legal Seafood will last.

Food was just OK. Lobster tasted like it had been frozen and thawed. Whitefish was a good piece of fish but overwhelmed with herbs and spices. Edamame overcooked, but they gave us a new irder (done just right).

Two of us went to lunch at Legal Seafoods. The decor and ambience are stunning! The view of the river and Riverwalk is excellent. Our server Anthony was attentive but not intrusive. This restaurant has an extensive menu. We chose two items from the starter menu, but we both agreed that we would return to sample some of the main dishes.

We have always enjoyed the Boston locations. We tried the Chicago location for first time recently. Setting is amazing along the river, especially if you get table by the window or terrace. Chris P our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. Food very similar to Boston location and our grilled fish was to our expectations. Children’s menu is a great deal if you have little ones. No valet parking and so you need to find alternative parking. We will definitely return.

We were here last week and came back because it was good in all ways. Disappointing is an understatement. Out of several wines and dishes early in evening. Slow service. Luke warm entree.
