Avec un clin d'œil au passé industriel de l'emplacement, Legal on the Mystic a été conçu pour être largement attrayant et pour conjuguer le traditionnel au contemporain. La carte propose des plats qui permettent une expérience culinaire décontractée et sociale. Legal on the Mystic met l'emphase sur les plats à partager, les salades, les pizzas, les sandwichs et les tacos, mais si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus classique, il y a aussi une variété de plats traditionnels du Legal. Le décor du restaurant a été inspiré du développement industriel original de l'Assembly Square. Grâce à l'incorporation des tuyaux en acier, du maillage en métal, de l'acier, du béton et des briques, l'espace rappelle son histoire industrielle. La cuisine d'exposition fournit l'arrière-fond idéal pour le restaurant, dont le bar est l'attraction principale. Des grandes portes de garages s'ouvrent à une terrasse pour les soupers en plein air et mènent à un balcon sur le fleuve couvert d'une parapluie de tulipe de 6 mètres.

The food was excellent and the service timely. It was a bit noisy, but we were able to converse.

Certainly! Here’s a concise but detailed review: ⸻ Disappointing Experience Our dinner was a complete letdown. Service was painfully slow—drinks took so long that we skipped appetizers altogether. When our entrées finally arrived, they had clearly been sitting in the kitchen, and one was incorrect and had to be sent back. The only reason our food made it to the table at all was because we saw the cook reprimanding our waitress. The restaurant was busy, but there was plenty of staff hustling—except for our server, who was nowhere to be found for long stretches. Given the number of employees on the floor, there was no excuse for the poor service we received. Unfortunately, the delays and lack of attention ruined what should have been an enjoyable meal. Would not recommend.

The ambience and location was very nice. The food was outstanding from the seasoning to the presentation. Definitely will return.

Excellent service from our server, Debbie. Food was delivered in a timely manner. We didn’t feel rushed. Food quality was okay.

This location has been a long time staple for me and I have noticed in the last year the quality has continued to go downhill. I have continued to support the restaurant hoping it would get back to the level it once maintained. Well last night will be the last time I will give Legal my hard earned money for dinner! I must say first the staff is the one consistent for this location- I was a regular and they always remember me and gave we a warm welcome. The service staff is attentive and pleasant. That means a lot in today’s restaurant world. The food however has continued to be disappointing. The best part of the meal were the oysters - since they had no part in them as far as cooking goes - however I will say the cocktail sauce was runny and had water in it. Really!!! We also ordered the Tuna Tataki - in previous times they would give you 10 pcs - then it went to 8 pcs and last night was 5 pcs. And the price was no bargain as well as the seaweed was black not green as it should be. So we didn’t touch that at all. We ordered the brussel sprouts with bacon - there were six halves of sprouts in a bowl and mushy. I am not one about large portions however reasonable portions for the price and quality of the food is more important. I don’t mind spending the money for good food. I will not ever eat at a Legal seafood again and it is so disappointing to me since this was a staple for me in my neighborhood. I work to hard for my money to dispose of it here. I have given them more than one opportunity to up the game yet it continues to disappoint. The new ownership should be ashamed of what they have done to this New England institution!

In our reservation, I'd requested a table beside a window. When we arrived 15 minutes late, & during a snowstorm, instead of apologizing that there were no such tables available (if that was true), the host complained about our lateness & then seated us in the middle of the restaurant, next to the kitchen. Would've been nice to watch the snow falling. Daniella, our server, did a good job, but this turned into a pretty disappointing Valentine's celebration.

Host and experience was great, little bit confused when we had to wait 15 minutes only for two semi-warm bread rolls. The fish was great but some of the vegetables tasted like they were just boiled and thrown on a plate, no seasoning on them whatsoever. Other than that, good place to enjoy a meal.

Excellent service and the food was great! In fact although I planned on chowder and baked lobster, after the chowder came, I couldn't eat all the lobster and took the remainder home. Now I have joyful leftover memories. Slept good as well. It was a wonderful experience!

Great, quick service and our meal was brought to us hot and right out of the kitchen. Food was as good as it was decades ago. All fresh fish and tasty sides. Chowder was the best and had just enough pieces of clams and chunks of potatoes. Rolls warm and filling.
