The Legacy is literally the best fine dining restaurant in York. Best food and service. The vegetarian menu is absolutely deserve to try. Sam and all the staff here will make you feel at home.

I don't think I've ever written a review this quickly after leaving somewhere. We've just had the most incredible dinner at Legacy for my husband's birthday. We had the water menu - it was perfection. As I said the food was amazing, but the service was faultless. The team that looked after us - Kiera, Hannah, Sam, Lukas and Derek were absolutely wonderful. My husband had a mocktail 'flight' and I had a cocktail 'flight' (expertly made by Kian) to compliment the food - which was an incredible addition to our experience. A definite recommendation and massive thanks for an unforgettable evening.

Words cannot describe this experience. We had never done a tasting and it was incredible - everything from the intimate location, the very knowledgable and engaged staff, to the food. Go in hungry though, we were there 3.5 hours, had 8 courses and then at the end they brought a complimentary selection fo small desserts and we both felt like Mr Cresote from the Monte Python sketch. Not inexpensive but if you want an experience that will stay with you then this is it!

I was a single diner in a room full of couples. Wait staff was as attentive and cheerful with me as with everyone else. As a solo diner, I could concentrate on the extraordinary taste and quality of each course.
