This historically unique location houses the new restaurant from Matt O'Neil chef/owner of The Blue Ox in Lynn. O'Neil collaborates with Executive Chef, Daniel Gursha, formerly of Bambara, Cambridge and A Voce and Bouley in New York City, offering a progressive New England concept, where traditional 19th-century dishes, cocktails, and techniques will be elevated with 21st-century resources.

    The restaurant was great. The food was outstanding: an order of popovers to start, a roasted duck breast for me, a baked salmon for my wife left us so full we couldn’t get to dessert. The parking was a challenge and it was pretty noisy but our server, Martina, was attentive and friendly so we were very happy with the whole experience and will definitely be back

    Service at the bar was incredible for brunch but the kitchen took 30 min for chicken & waffles and a burger.

    The food and service were great. The noise level made it hard to hear even across the table sometimes. Would definitely go back.

    The kitchen DEFINITELY knows what it is doing, and the room is beautiful (that ceiling!). We had oysters, the squash soup (terrific!), little gem salad (so crunchy and fresh), popovers (a must have), duck, Brussels sprouts and salmon. Each dish was beautifully executed and just right, although the puree with the duck was oddly under seasoned. Service, however, was particularly uneven. Even after clarifying how we wanted the courses to be sequenced, the appetizer for one member of our table came out 15 minutes after the appetizer (oysters) for the rest of the table; the main courses for two of us arrived (after quite a wait) about ten minutes after the main course for our other two guests. Given the obvious professionalism of the kitchen and front desk, the service side was a surprise, and just felt somewhat untrained and awkward. Although harder to address, the noise level was also really daunting.

    Great ambiance and location. Our waitress was great , the bartender not very friendly. Definitely don’t skip the popovers , those are something to return for. The meal took a bit long to come out and the steak was no longer hot but I as enjoying my company so not a problem. I would return , good flavors !

    Always a great meal. Love the space, attentive service, fun drinks, and every dish was delicious. Even the blueberry ice cream (sherbet?) was so good. Can’t wait for my next visit.

    As usual- we had a great dinner. The food was delicious, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The wine list was varied, many treasures and a nice range of prices (Somm does a great job). Service was also excellent. Thank you
