A delicious lunch with first class service. The Canelle de Canut was excellent but you really needed some bread with it which we ordered separately. The half chicken was superb. Moist and really tasty and the aubergine side dish was a very welcome addition to our lunch. A great addition to Ashburton and different to Emilia’s the sister restaurant just along the road. The decor is simple and unfussy and very nicely done with an overall welcoming feel. A thoroughly enjoyable first experience and we shall be returning soon

Divine food especially the potatoes and juicy chicken, delicious drinks with fast service and beautiful interior would definitely recommend for date night or lunch with the kids very accessible menu deliciously executed. 10 out of 10!

A really exceptional place, great food, ambience, decor - another asset to the South Devon food scene. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit - it won’t be our last - for my wife’s recent birthday. Special mention must go to Paul for his usual warm welcome, always so friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the menu - he is a real asset to Le Vin Perdu / Amelia’s.

Our food was delicious tho I felt my veal vol au vent had been sat a while waiting perhaps for the potatoes. The vol au vent dish was warm not hot, compared to the potatoes which were very hot! Service was excellent and the bread was so tasty. Definitely worth the trip to experience your new restaurant and definitely would come again. Loved the fact you had proper candles on the table. Oh one more thing - a minor one - because of the irregular nature of the table top eating from my plate was a bit of hoot as the plate kept spinning round and I ended up chasing my food! Perhaps place mats would be useful?

Incredible food and ambience. Brilliant service and a good price. Comparable with Emilia's but also quite different. A great addition to ashburton.

The individual dishes were ok but some rather too large and served without bread. Some were a little oily . The wine was not good . The whole was very expensive for what it was and in a very mediocre setting
