Nous sommes un restaurant congolais avec une touche locale servant des plats africains tels que du poulet grillé, du mouton grillé, des samousas, de la poutine et bien plus encore ! Le week-end, nous avons Le Uptown Experience qui est un nouveau concept basé sur un mélange d'animation et de tam tam interactif sur la culture congolaise et le maquillage tribal avec un menu 3 services pour 55$ par personne.

    The Uptown Experience is a new concept based on a mix of animation and interactive tam tam on Congolese culture. The goal is to entice guests to participate in the experience to offer them a complete integration of the Congo using interactive tam tam (Djembe), tribal face painting and African dance. The Uptown Experience is Friday to Sunday from 5:00 p.m to 1:00 a.m with a 3 course meal for 55$ per guest.

    Whe rsvp a table at 8 PM on Saturday for the UP experience. We were seated next to the bar at the end of the room even tho tables were available at the front. (Most were dirty and seemed to have been that way for a while) Then, we were introduced to a paint artist who drew great tribals on our hands. This was the best part! 5/5 The food was 3.5/5. Lack of presentation and meat was overcooked (We ordered the sheep with too many pieces of fat and the beef skewers, Overcooked.) Drink: We ordered the 1L pitcher *specialty*. 3.5/5 It was very sweet and luke warm ( asked for ice, but never received by waitress). For desert, I had to request African beignets to be heated as they came out cold and hard 1/5. (The waitress proposed othes for takeout, but they were the same.) Poor cleanliness ! My fork was dirty and a glass. The wall we sat next to was full of grease and other. Poor timing ! Our first course was interrupted with our main. Took 25 mins to clear the table once done and another 15 mins for our bill. The experience was inexistent. We were not given any Tam Tam , We were too far to enjoy the show and were not offered different seats as they were available. The Entertainer didn't walk around nor entertained the guest. Nothing about the experience was as promoted on their website. Overall, 2/5. Poor service ! 2/5 Young polite staff lack of work ethic and initiative. I wondered throughout the night if there was a manager on-site. Most staffing were too busy planning their weekend loudly at the bar to notice customers waiting to clear plates, bills, needing more water, etc. One customer got off his seat and went directly to the bar to get a water refill, which is inacceptable. Another requested the bill 😳. Overall, it is a good concept, but a lot of work and improvement need to be done. I will not suggest anyone to go dine in just Uber eats. Definitely was deceived and regretted paying 55$ each for an experience we didn't have.

    Very nice place the food and the working amazing The only thing I didn’t like they changed 55$ par person for a 3 course meal I tried to explain to the server we have a birthday cake no need for 3 course meal we couldn’t order separately from the regular menu they made mistakes with my husband order he toke it anyway because they keep bringing the plate back-and-forth even though I told them three times it wasn’t ours that’s not what we ordered. they didn’t try to fix it I think it on the cook not sure Please keep in mind we when with the intentions supporting them big (we still did ) That’s the only disappointment Olivia was the beautiful young lady that served us don’t forget to ask for her 🥰

    Le repas était excellent belle découverte, service impeccable. On a eu droit à un maquillage africain gratuit et un instrument c'était vraiment super ! Seul petit bémol, la musique était vraiment trop fort mais sinon tout était parfait. Je reviendrais !

    On mange bien, on boit bien et on s'ambiance bien ! Quoi demander de plus ? Le staff est super social aussi ! Je recommande x 1000

    10/10 ! C’était ma deuxième fois d’y aller ! J’ai invité ma cousine et franchement rien a dire ! 😍 Les plats , l’ambiance , les cocktails ! 10/10

    Meme si on avait une reservation on a attendu 1h15 avant de pouvoir avoir une table. On etait coince, il n y avait pas de cocktail, service a la clientele laisse vraiment a desirer. La nourriture etait froide.

    The music is very loud, not really able to conversate. Things get even louder with the tam tam's they give to everybody because people are all playing differently. There was no presentation for the food. Some items were hot while others barely warm. The staff will bebon their phones chatting or watching the tv and take a long time to provide service.
