Well, I must say it was just OK. It is a pretty place, but nothing special, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. GOOD: The escargot appetizer was very good. Not so good: the coq au vin was just ok, too salty and nothing special and the scallops the same. it is reasonably priced for the area, except the wine. A $26 retail bottle of wine was $85. Double is the norm, not more than triple. Bottom line: Nice place for a drink and escargot but perhaps dinner elsewhere.

We were very happy to see Tout La Bien back operating. The menu is tremendous and for modern NYC not that expensive. Welcome back one of New York’s best neighborhood restaurants.

I chose this restaurant for a pre-theater meal, and after reading the reviews, I started with the escargot, then had the Dover soul with ratatouille and truffle mashed potatoes, and I was not disappointed! My dinner partner had the scallops over risotto and she said the dish was excellent. We sat outside which was very pleasant, so I cannot comment on the noise level inside the restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was very attentive. We will definitely be back so I can try the scallops dish!

This restaurant is very convenient to the theatres. Service was excellent and they have a nice varied menu of many French specialities. The Theatre Pre Fixe menu was an excellent value at $38. They also had decent prices on their wines and other drinks. We all really enjoyed our dinner here.

Probably the best French food that we have had anywhere in NYC. We will definitely be back soon.
