Le French is a gourmet, casual-chic French bistro specializing in modern Parisian cuisine with global influences, a nod to co-founders and sisters Ami and Rougui Dia’s heritage. Embracing the storied history of France and Senegal’s centuries-old relationship, Le French offers beautiful mini pastries, baked from scratch in-house, timeless French dishes, and culinary celebrations of Senegalese tradition in an intimate, sophisticated environment. My friend and I had an excellent dinner at Le French (846 Albion Street) last night (12-20-2024). Each course was superb and beautifully presented. We had the seared scallops atop white beans and bacon, the beet salad, the braised short ribs, the bouillabaisse, and the Pavlova for dessert. Everything was absolutely delightful! Service by Alyssa was fantastic, and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. Our experience at Le French was definitely “five stars!”

If you are looking for great food as well as a noise level that actually allows conversation, this is for you. I’ve eaten here at least five times and have always been pleased.

I rated it low because they were out of the three best items on the menu and the remaining choices were disappointing. It wasn't like the restaurant was busy, in fact it was virtually empty at 6:30 pm on a Sunday night, so I don't know why they would be out of food. Consequently, it was a disappointing meal for me. However towo people at the table loved their steak frites.

Excellent service, very nice ambience, food is o.k., portions small, prices very high. The wine list is limited and overpriced. 4 times retail price for a bottle of wine seems excessive. I would come back for drinks, but there are better alternatives for food.

Two of us had the Lamb shank, which was terrific, fall off the bone prepared. One had the Salmon which was delicious. Wine in Denver is ok at best, but I wish this dumb law against corkage here would go away. That being said the wine was good at a decent price point. All in all a very nice place. I have been there four times now and have not been disappointed.
