Hubby is Coeliac so was soooo excited to view a whole menu as GLUTEN FREE. Very disappointing .. decor/ambience was like walking straight into a cheap & nasty Food Star chain, nothing had changed but the buffet station was empty 😱 Service was slow and when I wanted my cold meal warmed up, I couldn’t get anyone’s attention for 10 minutes. Had to get up and ask staff for take away container to take home. Food was tasteless & average, no alcohol to have like adults with dinner and expensive for meal size. Epic fail on my part but god bless my husband who said we could try ordering something else in future. Lol

Food is great, decent serving size and fresh Staff are nice Decor is original and tables are sticky, could do with paper table cloth or the like Bottle water, sauces and Baby disposable cups on tables , not sure why cups so small Still have the Bae Marie's from Food star sitting empty, maybe could put surrounds around it so you can't see them Pigeons n poo should be removed from the exit door Otherwise Food was great You choose from a Menu , not a Buffet Highly Recommended FOR FOOD

I was excited to try La Fau Frankston, but it was really disappointing. We had the spring rolls and dumplings to start, with the Korean fried chicken and the beef fried rice. The food arrived in reverse order—mains first, followed by the entrees—and we weren't offered extra plates, even though it was clear we were sharing. The spring rolls were all fried oil. They looked good, but there was so little filling that there was nothing left after frying and it was like eating the shell with oil. The dumplings tasted waterlogged and seemed like they were from the day before. At $15 for four, they were not worth it. The chicken was nice, but the rice was bland, spicy, and dry. We were really disappointed overall. If you ever went to the restaurant when it was on Food Star, all I can say is it hasn't really changed—same tables, chairs, and aesthetics.

For people that compare it to Foodstar, just don’t. As soon as I sat down I recognized it as a Vietnamese restaurant. It is also very brightly lit. 2nd time here, 1st time slightly disappointed. As I’ve read here as well, the spring rolls are quite thin and lack much filling. Most disappointing was the seasonal vegetables green. There was literally one green vegetable in the mix of mostly cauliflower - a piece of broccoli. I spoke to 3 staff regarding this and no one seemed to understand when the menu says green vegetables, you expect green vegetables. I was comped that dish and was satisfied by this. There was however lots of broccoli in the tempura vegetables. The chicken curry was the worst I have ever experienced. The sauce was so thick and a bit unpleasant to taste. The rest of the dish was fine though. Unfortunately I was too full to go coffee & dessert but enjoyed it on my previous visit. Previously I also had the dumplings and satay chicken and was so ready to come back for more. I don’t know if this was just a bad night. My brothers main was ok but we were sharing the starters so he was invested in the quality too. There are so many dishes to try and we’ve already booked again for me to try the char kway teow 😋

Wonderful food. But of an odd location but has a kids room and my 3 kids had fun. Will definitely go back

Great food, Le fu has been a favorite of ours and we we very pleased to see them open a Frankston location. Absolutely delicious and food was fantastic as usual, friendly service we will definitely be back.

I must admit to being disappointed with my experience at Le Feu, Frankston. I had heard so many great things about the brand, and the whole restaurant is gluten-free, which is amazing! There is no ambiance - it was like eating in a cafeteria, and my meal was not just gluten-free, it was also very light on flavor. My husband enjoyed his meal, and the staff were lovely, just not enough of them. All in all, a disappointing experience, made worse because I was so looking forward to it.
