   Another great experience, service was great. We love the lotus root salad and the beef ravioli. The brussel sprouts were a little limp and overdone, but the chicken curry great.

   This is an amazing restaurant. The food is unique - you are not quite sure what it will taste like - but then you get it and it is AMAZING! Service is impeccable. Background music is perfect and not too loud. I would recommend it to anyone.

   Chicken dumplings, spicy chicken stir fry, and the Le Colonial salad were all excellent. Service was great. My only complaint was the price for ice tea, $5. It was delicious but that seems pricey.

   We hosted a special occasion dinner with a party of seven. This restaurant is a suburban treasure! Parking across the street was convenient and free. The restaurant itself is beautiful and all of the staff members were professional and attentive. We enjoyed excellent service all evening! We never felt rushed. I had a delicious mocktail while other members of our group had a variety of cocktails and wine. From our opening small plates to share to our meal-ending sorbet, the food was superb. I would highly recommend Le Colonial in Lake Forest if you’re looking for a top-notch dining experience.

   Steve is wonderful! He came by the table and checked up on us. Food was delicious and the waitress was great!

   It’s always a pleasure to eat at Le Colonial. The bar is my favorite place to land, but there’s great ambience throughout the restaurant.

   Service was great as usual. How are we felt the cocktails and the food had gone down slightly compared to the past visits. Don’t know if it was an off night?

    This north shore offshoot of the downtown chicago location is very popular with locals and those in town for business. I have always enjoyed the ambience and service. Their menu is varied and usually covers all types of meals to please all types of palates. Particularly enjoy when chef incorporates seasonal items in salads. My favorite is and will always be the red snapper, excellently prepared and a long time standing on the menu. The wine could be better and less expensive. Otherwise, this restaurant stays on my rotation.
