Le Colonial is a celebration of seductive spirit and vivid flavors reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. With locations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Delray Beach (2023) and Lake Forest (July 2022), the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of sophistication and opulence. Heralded as "an escapist’s paradise," celebrated restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exquisite attention to detail in a luxurious classic and romantic atmosphere in the iconic Market Square of Lake Forest. Please be advised that we do not hold an indoor reservation for all patio reservations. We cannot guarantee a table inside if you wish to move.

Great food and service. My wife said it was one of the best meals she’d had in years. The bar was nice but so crowded that we couldn’t get a pre-dinner drink so we went down the street to Deerpath Inn.

EVERTHING WAS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THR SEATING, IT WAS IN A NARROW ROOM ,BUT THE WORST THING WAS THE SEA, IT WAS WAY TOO LOW AND THE BACK WAS TOO FAR BACK . i AM SHORT SO IT MADE IT ALL THE WORSE. i COULD HAVE LUST SHOVELED THE FOOD FROM THE TABLE INTO MY MOUTH. i LOVE THIS PLACE !EXCEPT FOR THIS LAST SEAT.

Wonderful establishment, except way too scrunched in when dining inside - had become accustomed to patio dining during summer months, which provide "elbow Room". As result, probably will not frequent much until next spring as do not enjoy dining in a high-priced establishment but being made to feel like in a phone booth ... extremely inhibits good discussion with others. Though I have always been complimentary about the service and number of staff, this was the second time in the past week that we felt it was understaffed ... not be able to bring us the side dish until already eating main entree is unacceptable.
