Le Colonial is a celebration of seductive spirit and vivid flavors reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. With locations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Delray Beach (2023) and Lake Forest (July 2022), the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of sophistication and opulence. Heralded as "an escapist’s paradise," celebrated restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exquisite attention to detail in a luxurious classic and romantic atmosphere in the iconic Market Square of Lake Forest. Wonderful food and service! A true dining experience. Not sure what the 3% service tax was on our party of four, and our wonderful waiter not quite sure either! But we will return!

Had a reservation but were told to wait at the bar. 2 couples walked in after us and were seated immediately. The atmosphere and front desk was extremely pompous and not friendly at all. Our server William was great though but the overall experience was just very poor. One of the worst restaurants I’ve been too. I may come back because the food is very good but very pretentious staff for the most part and seemed a little selective of who they let in which really is disgusting
