With locations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Delray Beach (2023) and Lake Forest (July 2022), the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of sophistication and opulence. Beautiful restaurant with interesting and delicious food. However, they continue to add a 3% charge onto the bill in order to “keep prices down.” This makes no sense as the prices are already high. The server will remove it if asked to do so. However, many people likely don’t even notice the charge.

First time we had bad service. I ordered a Diet Coke. It came 30 minutes later and the ice had melted into the Coke. Everyone was on game but our server.

Enjoyed a great dinner with my granddaughter last evening at Le Colonial! She is vegetarian and we were able to find choices to our liking. Such a beautiful place and great staff!

Normally, I would have given a 5-star review but was very disappointed that they could not accommodate our outside 615 reservation until 7 pm - first, it was 10 minutes and then another 10 minutes, and then sorry not for a while - just be honest, and give us a time and if you don't know, say so - I asked if they could make it up somehow like a round of drinks or something would be nice - but the reply was I wish I could by the hostess. I expected more

While the food, atmosphere and the server were fantastic, we were a little disappointed with the table selection. When making the reservation, we indicated that we were celebrating an anniversary that evening. We were seated in a very tight table between 2 other parties with no table light or flowers (all other tables had lights and flowers). There was plenty of seating outdoors but were not asked if we preferred indoors or outside during the reservation process or when we arrived. The table was not ready when we got there at our reservation time but we were happy to wait 15-20 minutes in the bar. We thought maybe we were waiting for a really nice table to finish up. I realize many tables are close together but there are definitely some better options. I would have hoped we would have been sat in a slightly better table (possibly outside, in a corner, etc) given the anniversary celebration. All that said, this is our second visit to the LF location and the food and wait staff are really spectacular.

Looked like a make shift table right next to the kitchen door. Small table to seat 4. Our server appeared to be extremely busy, overworked, though quality of service was very good. Overall disappointed inspite of making reservation month in advance, probably left the restaurant disappointed.
