I made a reservation for my wife’s 60 birthday. The restaurant was packed and extremely noisy. We were seated at the table that was so tight. My wife was seated back to the wall and I was seated back to the isle where all waiters were squeezing between my chair and the other person sitting at the round table. The waiter was fast and busy. He told us what was money worth and what was cheaper than the other dishes. We didn’t care about what’s cheaper and what’s worth to try. We wanted our time to choose a dish and pair a nice cab to it. The place was so tight, crowded and noisy, I moved to sit close to my wife because I couldn't stand waiters squeezing between me and other lady every minute with no word. We stood up and left. Terrible experience, terrible service.

Se haven’t been here in ages and that’s all bc all the new restaurants happening all around houston but the food and ambiance here ibas always been great. They have a new menu and everything we had was delicious. Our server was also great. We will come back when weather is nicer and west in their new and bigger patio

this resyaurant was popular back twenty or thirty years ago in New York and its Houston outpost has followed with its French/Indochinese decor. As a result, it is a pleasant place to eat. It is not the best vietnamese food in Houston but it is certainly one some of the best decor. It also has a handsome bar upstairs and a very nice patio area to dine when it is not so hot. I am not an expert on Vietnamese cuisine, but if one is seeking authenticity I would go elsewhere. The food here is good but not extraordinary. (Then again, the word extraordinary is not one I would use for almost any restaurant in Houston.) Patrons are paying for the decor and the location because prices are high for a Vietnamese restaurant, and the menu hasn't changed in forever.

The food, service and ambiance were excellent as usual. Adding 3% to the bill to cover "increased business costs" is absurd.

I had been itching to go to Le Colonial after a friend recommended it. It Did Not Disappoint! There is nothing like having an experience when you go to a restaurant, and that is what you'll get when you go to Le Colonial. The decor, the music, the food, and the wait staff are all exceptional. Not to mention, the drinks are not only creative, they are tasty. All the dishes were dynamic in flavor and surely made to order because everything came out nice and hot. I encourage you to share your plate because they are a decent size. I would also recommend you save room for dessert. The passion fruit panna cotta was phenomenal! The restaurant has a dress code, which I feel adds to the experience. So, if you're feeling like getting dressed up to have an amazing experience and date night, this is the place to go. I would also recommend checking out their upstairs bar because it has a whole vibe that is moody.
