Le Colonial is a celebration of seductive spirit and vivid flavors reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. With locations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Lake Forest, the famed Vietnamese restaurant is designed to capture a bygone era of romance and soft architecture. Heralded as "an escapist’s paradise," celebrated restaurateurs Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King deliver on exquisite attention to detail in a luxurious classic and idyllic atmosphere.

DRESS CODE:
We put all our love and effort in creating an unforgettable experience with you in mind. It is for this reason we politely ask that our guests return the favor by joining us sans any of the subsequent athleisure attire. No athletic wear or athletic attire, designer athletic lines of any kind and model, beach flip flops or any beach attire, athletic slides, tank tops (men), cut-offs, sweatpants, exposed undergarments and excessively revealing clothing for indoor and outdoor dining. No baseball caps. Seasonal changes may apply.

Waitress a bit distracted. Food good. Big plate was told us to be enough for two people. That was wrong.

Our server was Sue and she was outstanding, perfectly recommending our meal. The food and drinks were excellent! We will be back! Well done and thank you for a beautiful evening!

We had some bugs nipping at our legs..they didn't have any bug spray and as it got a bit colder they would stop biting..I would've appreciated a citronella candle under the table. Delicious meal!! Lovely conversations....we were not rushed.

It was a birthday celebration. I went there because they said they do something special. It literally took two people over 3 hours to eat. We ordered two appetizers and only got one. The waiter told us about a great appetizer and then we were excited to get it and he never brought it. So we had to share the one. The dinner was great. We had to keep asking for water. We waited forever to order desert for the birthday that the person just wanted to leave. Then we said give the fastest desert since we had to be somewhere else, which also took a long time. We finally just ask for the check. Then the guy just brought it out. Not that impressed. I have been here before a couple of times and was sad that it went like this. I wanted to make it a nice birthday dinner. It was an expensive night for not a nice birthday celebration experience.

Overall good experience. Beautiful restaurant, very good food. Wine and drinks very expensive. Least expensive bottle of white wine is $76. Excessive compared to most other nearby restaurants. A bit dissapointed that they didn’t acknowledge our anniversary which was mentioned in the reservation. May return, may not.

I don’t even know where to begin. Le Colonial is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of Southeast Florida. There is not one thing I would change about it the ambience andthe decor are amazing. The service is fantastic. They’re friendly, attentive but not overly that they’re in your face and the food is just divine. It’s heavenly. I’ve been there about five or six times now and will keep going back. If you have not tried it yet - don’t hesitate!

This would be my fourth or fifth experience at le colonial- it’s a favorite ! clearly it is almost season and there are many new servers and workers at this restaurant. We were seated at a table that was close to the wait stand, which had glasses and paraphernalia where the wait staff would serve from - it would be noisy . We ordered drinks and then we decided to ask for another table. We were led to a corner and it was all right, but the table was small and we felt we were against the wall so we asked if we could have the semi circular banquet that was free. We were told no that that table was only for six. We asked to speak to the manager, but the manager did not arrive. Neither did six people come to fill that banquet. Honestly, that was our only negative and could’ve been so easily solved. We enjoyed the whole organic red snapper $100 and had a side salad as well as a few drinks. It’s definitely a restaurant that we would come back to keeping in mind that the tables are small tight and that you don’t always get your first choice or second choice.
