Phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back. Second time, had chilled shrimp rolls, chicken dumplings, chicken fried rice and spicy chicken stir fry. Everything was delicious, fresh, and fresh.

We had Vietnamese friends in town and wanted to treat them to Le Colonial. They were impressed by the food and how flavorful and fresh every thing was. For being in America, it was pretty authentic they thought. Our server Eddie did not rush us, so we were able to enjoy our time together. I highly recommend sharing everything. We enjoyed the Lotus Salad, Spare Ribs, Chicken Dumplings, Shaking Beef, and garlic Noodles. Le Colonial is one of our favorite local restaurants. But be sure to make the reservations ahead of time if you want 5:30-8:00 time frame.

The decor and ambiance were gorgeous. Lovely, elegant, refined, spot on. The service was excellent and didn’t miss in any way - attentive, knowledgeable, and available without being intrusive. We were very pleased. However, the food was just ok. Not bad but nothing standout. We kept wanting it to be better. We’ve had meals where one takes a bite and says “Oh, wow. That is amazing,” One tries to eat as slowly as possible and spread out every bite to take in every nuance of flavor and texture, and not have to come to the end of it. We were so pleased by the ambiance and service and so wanted the food to live up to it, but it was all just “fine.” The poached seabass had no contrasts of flavor or texture, every bite was just…the same. Fine but nothing engaging or noteworthy. The dumplings and dumpling soup were the same, good, nothing wrong, but nothing special or that leaves you already planning your next visit before you even leave.

Incredible meal, service & ambiance. A perfect spot for a date night, special occasion to be celebrated or just a meal shared with loved ones & friends. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and his recommendations were delicious. The wait staff was beyond great too. Can’t wait to be back soon!!! One of our new favorite downtown spots.
