Excellent service and first class quality of food. I had the ham quiche to start with, this was a large portion served with salad, highly recommend. For the main course I had beef bourguignon, again this was a good portion of tender beef in a rich sauce. The service throughout was excellent.

Good and venue was lovely. A nice chatter throughout the room without it being intrusive. Food was really tasty and good value for money and the staff were very friendly and welcoming

Delicious and excellent quality food. Lovely setting in a very central part of town. Attentive staff and very polite.

We throughly enjoyed our evening at Le Bistrot. It’s always difficult when you visit somewhere you don’t know and have to trust reviews, which let’s be honest can be subjective. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, the food was delicious and the cost was reasonable in today’s world. We will re-visit when we return to the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

Good food and friendly staff made for an enjoyable evening. Lighting could be dimmed a bit in the effort a better atmosphere.

Lacks atmosphere. Feels more like a cafeteria rather than a restaurant. Food was ok and reasonably priced, but the experience gave the sense something was missing. Would not look to revisit.

Le Bistro is clearly a popular haunt for Edinburgh locals and rightly so . Hits all the right notes for a French cuisine experience and made for a really Good Friday night😊

This restaurant is a hidden gem, not as well known as it deserves. Food is authentic and good value, and service impeccable. Good atmosphere. Recommended for lunch and dinner.
