Enjoy a taste of France at Le Baratin, 1600 Dundas West, with a unique menu and an enchanting atmosphere.
We offer 2 setting every night; The first dinner service from 5:30 through to 6:30 pm is a maximum of 2 hours dinner experience.
For BRUNCH we do not take reservation - walk-in only, from 10 am till 3:30 pm.
Take an imaginary plane in the evening with the culinary experience of our French inspired menu.
Food prepared at Le Baratin is indeed classic with a modern twist. Classic in a sense of ‘old school’: our sauces are all made in-house, with a veal-based stock. These days, that is very rare.
For Brunch, the Croque Monsieur is a must-have. French peasant, or street food, is uniquely reinvented here.
Our wine list is mid-priced and extensively

We arrived around 7:45pm right when a big party was wrapping up their dinner. The place is cozy and has wonderful decorations. The waiter was very attentive and greeted us warmly. We had charcuterie and scallops for appetizer, duck breast and cassoulet for the main course, and then dessert as well! The scallops were so yummy! The duck breasts were tender and full of flavours! The mousse au chocolat and creme caramel were out of this world~~ The restaurant was relatively quiet and my friend and I enjoyed our conversations as well. I would definitely go back again and again!

The pâté was excellent as were the steak and frites : However, the piece of lamb left a lot to be desired: the meat was fatty and chewy and compared to a previous experience, this culinary experience was incredibly disappointing and is below a 2 star rating I would not recommend the lamb given this experience

Thank you very much Liliane for your review, and sorry to hear about the lamb. We never had any complain so far with the Lamb shoulder, but we may do some errors from time to time. We assume the Lamb was maybe undercooked, as generally it's very tender. We want to assure you that when something is not up to your expectations, we're always ready to redo or change any dish. Nonetheless, hope to see you again in the near future.

We totally enjoyed the duck confit, escargots and sea bass fillets along with the wine recommendations paired with the warm and attentive service.

it was amazing experience for me and my wife. We would definitely visit again. They serve everything at its finest level and we couldnt find any single tiny flaw throughout the whole time we spent in the restaurant. Staffs are very responsive and friendly. How they organized and presented their gourmet dish are above our imagination. We had lamb shoulder and sea bass for our mains, tuna and salmon for appetizers which were incredibly juicy and fresh.

A small pleasant place with good food and great service. The wine list contains excellent wines at reasonable prices. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

It’s hard to find excellent food quality for this price range. Unfortunately, over the past couple years I have found the quality of food in many establishments has gone down, but here is quite the opposite. Food was cooked to perfection , served hot with wonderful flavours. The quality was top-notch. We will be back.

Great overall experience! This is a tiny restaurant with only 10 tables available and I am glad I booked a table for 5 two days in advance. Honestly this place is great for dates but my family enjoyed it very much as well. I love the food quality and the presentation, 10/10! I lived in France for a few months so this reminds me of all the delicious dishes I had there. This is not your typical Americanized French restaurant but more a classic good quality cute little French bistro, bring you right back to France. I honestly think they are smart with the fixed price model, very reasonable for what you are going to get.

A lovely dining experience. The Table d’hotel menu style is very reasonable and has excellent flavours.
