Enjoy a taste of France at Le Baratin, 1600 Dundas West, with a unique menu and an enchanting atmosphere.
We offer 2 setting every night; The first dinner service from 5:30 through to 6:30 pm is a maximum of 2 hours dinner experience.
For BRUNCH we do not take reservation - walk-in only, from 10 am till 3:30 pm.
Take an imaginary plane in the evening with the culinary experience of our French inspired menu.
Food prepared at Le Baratin is indeed classic with a modern twist. Classic in a sense of ‘old school’: our sauces are all made in-house, with a veal-based stock. These days, that is very rare.
For Brunch, the Croque Monsieur is a must-have. French peasant, or street food, is uniquely reinvented here.
Our wine list is mid-priced and extensively

Whether it's the taste of the duck leg, the flavoring of the sauce, or the choice of side dishes, their oiled duck leg was absolutely perfect. The seafood choices for the day were also very good. The white sauce and white meat matched brilliantly. The snails for the front dish were impressive. The pastry and the sauce were a tribute to tradition. All the service was very thoughtful, but I would like to pay more attention to details when recommending wines and drinks, such as the combination of dishes with wine. I hope that your restaurant will last a long time and become a unique memory in the memory of all the guests who dine in your restaurant. Thank you for your meal. I will come again.

I’d return provided I remember the rule not to order the “special” fish.

Hello Susan. Thank you for reviewing your dinner at Le Baratin. We're sorry to learn about the fish and quite surprised too as we served 10 portions of the same fish that night without any other complain. We'd have really appreciate if you had mentioned this right away; so we could have redone the dish or serve you something else as this was not up to your taste. Unfortunately, 2 days later, online we really can't do anything relevant.

Excellent intimate setting, the food is creative and tasty, and the service is friendly. We had a great Prix Fixe meal

Eating here is always great. The specials make the experience even better. Each time I’ve been here, one of us always chooses the specials for each pris fixe option and it never disappoints. I still dream about the pork Wellington from the summer.

Proper French food. Proper French menu. Proper French service. If you are looking for French, this is it. No other French restaurant that I've eaten at in Toronto does proper French food like Le Baratin. And no, Le Select doesn't.
