While visiting Wake Forest, my wife and I looked for an Indian restaurant. Lazeez offers an excellent dining experience with cuisine from the Punjab region. Delicious, spicy smells greet you at the door with an intimate dining area. The menu is ample and offers authentic choices. We found the food to be excellently prepared. Spice level can be ordered as medium, hot, or Indian hot. I ordered my Chicken Vindaloo at the hot level, which was spot on. Lazeez is well worth the trip to sate your palate for good Indian cuisine.

We will definitely be back. Excellent food. *We ordered and enjoyed goat saag, Punjabi tadka saag, chicken biryani, lamb vindaloo, garlic and cheese naan. *I loved being served in the clay bowl bc I didn't come for the rice so I didn't have to ladle it onto a diff plate. The food was lava hot despite of how busy they were, A++. We had Christmas reservations. The tables were full AND I noticed a lot of takeout activity. All employees were courteous but not very friendly but that's probably bc it was so busy. Reason for low service score: 1. I ordered a glass of red wine (twice) and it never came. 2. Our dishes were supposed to come with rice but our table didn't get any, but we weren't that interested in the rice anyway. No one checked on our food experience. They were very busy/focused on getting food to tables & takeout. I would have given a 1* but they were getting the food out at a decent pace, which is most important. I'm tempted to change it to a 3 as I read my review. Good note: We were never without water.
